The episode starts with Meera standing in ankle-deep water and immersing all her Mother's letter in the holy waters of the Ganges. The writings on the letters, all in blue ink, wash off and float lightly away on the water. đ
The man all dressed in black speaks to a Pujari in the Ghat. The PUjari tells him that the work her had come to do could be performed only during a specific time and that he would have to do it the next day at seven in the morning. The man thanks him and tells the Pujari that he will then have to stay in Benaras although he wished that he could return earlier. The Pujari tells him that although people come to Benaras according to their own wishes, yet their departure depends on the wishes of Ganga Maa. đ
Meera is climbing up the stairs of the Ghat carrying a Pooja ka Thali when she bumps into the stranger. The thali falls from her hand and all the flowers get scattered. The stranger apologises and offers to buy another thali for her. To this Meera replies that he doesn't have to apologise since the scattered flowers can once again be collected, but he should take care that no lives are ever scattered. The stranger is surprised since these are the very words that once Alaka had told him, in the same situation, when they had met 20 years ago in the Ghats of Benaras. He then tells Meera that its no problem and that he would still like to buy another thaali for her. Meera again tells him that they do not accept charity from outsiders, again similar answer as to what Alaka had told him 20 years ago. The stranger still goes to buy the thaali. đ
At that moment, Alaka comes to Meera and asks her whether she has dropped the thaali. Meera tells her about the incident, Alaka and she later climbs the steps together while the stranger watches them. While climbing the stairs, Meera tells Alaka about the exact words exchanged by her with the stranger. Alaka also recognises the dialogues immediately and stops dead in her tracks. However, she believes that her past can never come back. Meera climbs down the stairs once again to where Alaka is standing and asks her what has happened. Alaka tells her that the new mandir of Krishna and Radha is open and that she wants to go there to offer her prayers. Meera decides to go to the flower shop to buy gajras for Sonakshi and Akanksha. đ
The stranger goes back to the flower shop to return the flowers. The shop owner tells him that flowers once bought cannot be taken back since its inauspicious. Rather he could go to the new mandir of Radha-Krishna and offer his paryers. The stranger agrees to do so.đ
Meanwhile, in the house everybody is busy. Iravati tries to butter Sulakshana (Sonakshi's Mom) by telling her that she's looking very beautiful and stuff. Whiel exchanging words between themselves, Iravati directly tells Sulakshana that her son, Mayank is the rightful heir of their family, since both her brothers have daughters. Sulakshana is not at all pleased. At that moment, Shlok bumps into Iravati while carrying flowers to Alaka's room. Iravati gets very annoyed and tells Sulakshana that since Shlok is the Panditji's son that's why every body is tolerating him. Otherwise they would have thrown him out of the house, especially the way he keeps on hanging around with Alaka and Meera.
In the temple, Alaka is praying in front of Lord Krishna and Radha, when the stranger also comes to the temple with the flower basket. He offers them to God and also closes his eyes to pray. Alaka prays to God that no colours from her past should stain her white life and that Lord Krishna should help her in maintaining her stand. đ
In the Bharadwaj House, a Panditji is telling Ammaji, Yash, Sulakshana and Iravati that their family will have to face a crisis very soon and the period if crisis has already started, everybody is appalled to hear that. He tells them that the change will change the structure and fabric of the Bharadwaj Household. Ammaji however instructs them all that Sonakshi's in-laws would be coming to their house for the Suhaag Ki Puja and so everybody should conduct them graciously. Everybody agrees with her and Sulakshana leaves to get Sonakshi ready. đ
Back at the Ghat, after offering her prayers, Alaka comes out of the Mandir, but at that time a number of bhakts arrive who are throwing rangoli and vermilion at each other. They start throwing the colours at Alaka who tries to duck them, but she is caught in the middle. The stranger sees a widow caught in a wrong situation and he rushes forward to help her and covers her with his overcoat. Both of them are covered with colours. After both of them are away from the bhakts, Alaka truns around to tahnk the stranger but they are both shocked and surprised to see each other. Alaka's past has indeed come back. They stand in a rangoli-scattered courtyard and keep on staring at each other, while the song 'Tere Liye' from Veer Zaara plays in the background. Finally, Alaka breaks eye contact and rushes away from the courtyard. đł
At the house, Sonakshi's in-laws have arrived along with her to-be husband and she does the Pooja. At that moment, the diya stutters and blows off. Their family pandit-ji is highly appalled and states that some misfortune had indeed happened. At that moment, a colour-stained Alaka rushes into the house and while trying to rush up the stairs, bangs into Sulakshana. Everybody turns towards her and the Panditji exclaims that the misdeed has indeed been done. Alaka stands transfixed shaking her head. đ
