As strange as it may sound, Asad has complete control over his oven brain and his Kyunki Saas Bhi... type jali-katti zubaan , but his heart knows where it wants to be. He had just scolded the living daylights out of Zoe and was fuming like a drunk bull in the garden , all alone - yet when he saw that familiar mug of coffee, he instantly thought it was Zoe. And was about to take off on his - "Aapko kya lagtaa hai ki aap kucch bhi karengi ..." but then, he saw that it was his Salwaar Kameez and not his Miss.New York. Tanveer clearly saw that flip-flap of expression on his face and teased him - "Kyun? Tumhe kya lagaa ? Ki Zoya hai? Agar Zoya aati to maan jaate?" Today the question is not if Salwaar Kameez or Nirma as me and Oishi named her yesterday is right or wrong in the long run. I feel, at least today, in the situation , she spoke what is the truth. In the calmest possible way, she told Asad that Zoe is an adorable woman whom she adores, and the problem lies in him in accepting her as she is. Screaming at her , blaming her, is not right. And that too in front of a stranger! Asad , after all his defensive arguments fell flat as Salwaar Kameez refused to change her stance on Zoe , the truth came tumbling out- She is different from us. Her upbringing is very different from us and she is not fit for any family. THIS. The conflict that he has been fighting all along - Zoe is his misfit and when all his arguments about Zoe being a problem child collapse, he blurts out the truth - Zoe is DIFFERENT. How are we ever gonna match? And when giving up Nirmaa said that what if she makes Zoe the way he likes it , i was like - NO. If Asad can fall in love with Zoe as she is, then, his heart should have the guts and beauty to accept Zoe in those denims , with that horrendous shaayri and that cold pizza.
As for Zoe, the girl fulfilled all your wishes by calling her Mr.Khan everything from MCP to trashy while sobbing in her room. And for the first time, she reflected that why does she care so much? From day 1 , she has known what a thick headed fundamentalist male he is - then, why take everything he says to your heart? Trash him, trash his words and trash his thoughts. But she admits that she cares - and she cares very much. She still doesn't know that she has fallen in love with him. She is on the reflection stage where there are massive feelings but you are not in sync with them. Maybe this is what Salwaar Kameez saw in Zoe - existence of feelings and the extent of injury that they are causing to her. So, she gets pizza for our bhookhi-pyaasi Zoe and tells her a story on Asad and his Asad-panaa. And Zoe's sunshine comes back with a filled tummy and a face-palm couplet on him.
Today, Nirmaa, positive or negative was used as a binding thread to give you an outside view of AsYa. To tell you that Asad's problem is not his ego, temper, MCP-giri and the blah - its his desperation to convince himself that Zoe is the wrong woman for him in every possible way. To tell you through Zoe's statements that she is very well aware what a cranky MCP he is . But she has fallen in love with him as he is - a flawed man with a flawless heart.

Ayaan has a compartmentalized selective emotional machinery. His emotions run high where he is attached and then run dry when someone is on the other side of the fence and not in his emotional radar. I mean, i was quite surprised at Ayaan today. Humeira betrayed her father for him - she took a risk with her father's gigantic temper and yet he has no inkling why she is doing this for him? He remembers Humzie saying no to marry him but he has no EQ to realize that just why this girl goes out of her way for him all the time? As much as i appreciate the boy for being Shireen's backbone at the moment, i fail to understand how he can be so detached and ignorant from the rush of emotions that Humzie has for him? If someone is as cold as Asad , i understand that the icecube will need an oven to get his brains, but Ayaan? How can he not see something so natural and obvious? You can actually roll your eyes when Ayaan goes all 1960s hero and says - Kya Abbu ke liye Humeira ki zindagi barbad kar doon? ( since Razia Queen has made him an offer he may or may not refuse ). - BARBAAD? Abe! She loves you but when did you ever make an effort to find out just why Humzie walks the path of fire for you all the time?
Humeira is someone i am very fond of. Heart, sensitivity, compassion combined with honour , dignity and pride. I will never forget the self-respect and courage of this woman when she had royally told Ayaan that she will not marry him. She is someone who would either have Ayaan as the man who loves her or not have him at all. The signing of the NOC, the risks she took with her parents , the betrayal she did to her father - they all were for Ayaan - a selfless act of love and devotion.
Both Asad and Ayaan are unlucky as of now . Asad is unlucky because he is consciously fighting to fall out of love and hell bent on plunging himself back into the silence that is his greatest illness.
Ayaan is unlucky because his soulmate is right next to him but he doesn't have the eyes to see her. To look into the world for light when you are actually holding the lamp into your hand - wow, Ayaan!
As for the title of today's post , sahee hai. Kinaare miltey nahiin. Unless you realize that you both are halves of one single circular whole, you will be like the banks of a river that live parallel but never meet. Whether these four realize that or live a life of misery , its completely upto them. Destiny has thrown you together but rest of it is your job. Destiny doesn't spoon-feed anyone. Never.
