Zoya wants to feel like nothing's changed..

Unknowingly, Zoya has gotten very emotionally attached to and dependent on her foster family. She feels like she is a part of them. Feeling left out is not something she liked. She might seem like a childish attention seeker but she doesn't like that feeling of being pushed out of the family she has come to love as her own, even if it's just in her head. Asad isn't normally any politer to her than he was today but it still made her more touchy than usual because it happened in front of someone she considers a threat, someone who might take her place in the Khans' hearts.

I don't know whether to be annoyed at this behaviour or sympathise with her but right now, Zoya needs to be convinced that Tanveer's entry doesn't change her place in the family. And with that whole Najma-is-my-best-friend and Phuphi-really-cares-about-me stunt, she was trying to establish that fact more to herself than to Tanveer.

Thank you. Yes, Zoya wore her feelings on her sleeve yesterday. Wasn't too tough to figure out what she was going through.

I agree. It is extremely relatable what she is feeling.

Ya we cannot judge Zoya about being right and wrong. We understand where she is coming from.

Ya, it would've been nice if Asad was softer to her but tbh, he is always a little crude. We just felt it more because Zoya reacted that way.
