Madhu's effect on the boys' club

This is why I am so for the Sultan track. The kid is the special cutie that makes this so adorable. Every child has a need that a dad (Sultan) or caretaker cannot fill. It has to be a motherly character and for Sultan's son, that is Madhu.

I loved the scene where the kid demanded her and even hard Sultan had to bend to those wishes. Then all of them were listening with rapt attention as Madhu sweet-talked the boy like Sultan and the caretaker never could. That home needs her. I also can't help but notice how Sultan is actually quite respectful of her. He gives her the gun if she ever feels threatened by her. She is not really pushed around by him just because she's at his mercy just like she was when she was forced into the marriage.

RK might have sacrificed her now because he has *shock* cancer or some chronic illness but what he put her through really made me think badly of him. I know he's the hero, etc etc and he will win the girl at the end and end happy ever after like 99% of the soaps. But Sultan and his family are really sympathetic characters. Madhu likes to be needed and cherished rather than used and disposed of - whatever the reasons.

I am taking off the women claim as that is being taken more seriously than it was meant. I meant to say that people respond of kindness and respect and usually go where they are most needed in real life.

I respectfully disagree. A father is just as capable a parent as a mother. A lot of people are raised with single parents. This child is not any different. If he has special needs, he needs medical attention not forcible nanny care. If Sultan fails to fulfill his duties as a father, it is his fault.

Okay, does not make sense to me. If I am being held at gunpoint and this guy later hands me his weapon knowing I do not have it in me to shoot, I would not drool. I would be terrified. I think Sultan fails as a parent and somehow trying to right his wrongs without hurting his ego. Madhu is NOT needed. What is needed is a safe home for the child, one that does not involve a killer father. Immediate need to call child protection.
Again, I do not agree with the generalization women do. Maybe you are a woman and you like this. Does not mean everyone of your gender agrees.
I agree with the fact that RK has done her wrong that she should not go back to him & all that jazz but, she does not have to lower her expectations and settle for shooters either.

A very logical response but taken a tad bit too seriously. The effect on boys' club, as a subject heading, should have alerted to that.

I was thinking more basically. The post was meant to acknowledge that Sultan does not have the intimacy that one requires of a parent with his child. So he needs a parental figure who speaks to him with kindness. I am seeing a softer side to the character than maybe you are. He is being protective in his own way. He gives her the weapon that gives power over her.

@TM

With flawed characters such as Sultan, I proceed with extreme caution. Given my background, I tend to find pathology in everything. I simply cannot overlook the obvious signs of neglect. You are correct when you say Sultan acknowledges he is not the best parent. What I disagree with is his methodology of righting the wrongs. He is taking advantage of an innocent woman. The soft side and all that go down the drain when the man A) neglect his child; possible abuse B) Kills people C) kidnaps and threatens a woman

Wonderful write-up on Madhu's effect on the boys, agree with all ur points!! ๐Ÿ˜Š
I loved the way u have worded the emotions/feelings of the characters!
U r an amazing writer, MaryBarton.! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ
Madhu has always been like this, she went and was nursing a man when he was ruthlessly run over by a car driven by the superstar!
She also nursed/took care of the man, who hated her, who married her to make her life a hell!
Now, she is helping Sultan/Aryan - She can see the goodness/helplessness in their characters, which many of us fail to see!!
Madhu will always be Madhu - Be it a common man, a self-obsessed superstar or a gentleman gangster!! She will always be good and helpful.. ๐Ÿ˜Š

I don't endorse the treatment RK meted out to Madhu at both the wedding and unwedding.. But we have to admit that Madhu's true happiness lies with RK(when he is not being a jerk).. I would rather have madhu with RK (ofcourse after he realizes his mistake and makes up for all his past atrocities)

Because its not about just ending up with someone randomly because a child needs you or a person just treats you respectfully.. Its not about fulfilling a societal norm anymore.. and out if all, ending up with a gangster.. i dont care how reformed he is.. There has to be a connection which RK n Madhu had..

During the fake love drama, RK continued to be egoistic, rude and short-tempered.. But still she was happy with him.. There were many times where RK would just listen to her or indulge her and kinda balanced his actions..

Regarding his fake love, I don't care what he said or 'I love me' but we all have witnessed that unconsciously he always placed Madhu above him and during Balraj drama proved that he loved Madhu more than his own life,.

So I believe it's RK n Madhu all the way for me.. Or let Madhu stay independent/single..

I hope this thread remains peaceful :-)

According to me, Madhu is very young to be a mother of 8-9 year old kid don't you think? She's just 22. I mean, 8-9 year old kids call me didi and not mummy. She can be his friend, his teacher, his guide his elder sister. Why do we pair up Sultubala just for the heck of that kid? Moreover, i address men of Sultan's age as uncle. I mean logically i can't even think of marrying someone so old.

My opinion entirely :-) Don't take offence.
