He had to disappear for some time now, they already knew his face and soon thanks to that Babu they'd know where he had been staying. He didnt know what to do anymore. Where will he stay? Where will he hide? What will he do now?
He went to think for some time in the nearest cemetery he could found. He was thinking about everything he had done till now. His life, his wife, her murder and all those killings which followed afterwards flashed in front of his eyes. What solution did he have now? He was enough realistic to know that his life wont ever go back to before. He only had two options now, either surrender himself or run and run till they find him. But what life will he have if he was continuously on the run. He could change city, or even hide in a rural village, he'd be free for longer time. Maybe thats what he would do. He didnt want to die, he felt scared of even thinking about dying. And if he surrendered, then it would sure mean his death. He sat on a tomb, and thought about where he would go, and how he'd managed to evade the police checks at the exit of each road from this city. He was thinking about his way out, when suddenly that girl in the red dress flashed in his mind.
He got up startled, "I cant go so easily? How can i leave her and go? I have already killed so many girls, one more and then i can go! All this happened because of her! If she hadn't come in front of me, i wouldn't have been drawn to her, nor i'd have stabbed a man, and now the whole city was after me! I have to finish her before going! And it wont be that difficult since i already know where she's staying."
He got up, hide his face behind his shawl and went to look for her.
In Arjun's house
Everyone had already gone to sleep, except Arjun and Rathore who were still sitting in the living room and talking about the case.
"Rathore, we know his name, we know how he looks, yet why cant we find him?" Arjun said angrily.
"Arjun please dont lose your control. We'll get him!" Rathore said.
"How can i not lose my control? As long as he's out there, Riya and Vishal's life will always be in danger! And the more time we take, the less chance we'll ever have of catching him! He could so easily leave this city despite all our control checks everywhere!" Arjun said.
"Dekho," Rathore began, but never managed to say anything because his mobile started to ring.
"ACP Rathore speaking," he said, and after a few seconds, "Ok, keep him there, we are coming!" and cut the call.
He got up and said," Arjun lets go, there's someone who knows where this Mohit stays?"
Both left the home, and went to the police station. They found a small boy crying relentlessly. The police inspector told them that this boy knew about Mohit, and that Mohit had killed his mother, and now was after him. Arjun went to talk with the kid, and kneeled down on his knees to do that. Rathore observed Arjun from afar, the way he comforted the kid, and soon the kid had stopped crying. And after a few more minutes, he was answering Arjun's question. After some time, Arjun got up, patted the kid on his head and came to Rathore.
"I have the address let's go!" Arjun told Rathore.
"You'll make a great father Arjun! You are so good with kids!" Rathore remarked absently.
Arjun just nodded, turned towards the police inspector, "Keep Babu with you till we dont get Mohit! After that i'll arrange for him to enter a orphanage. Till them keep him safe."
The police inspector accepted his request, and soon Arjun and Rathore were on their way to the address given by Babu.
They were on their way in the SUV, when Arjun remarked, "I doubt he'll still be there Rathore! He's not that stupid!"
"Maybe, but we still have to check! Maybe we can have some clues where he had gone!" Rathore said.
But like they had guessed, they didnt find anything in that place either. It was as if Mohit was just living there, but there was nothing of him there, not even a picture, nothing at all. Both returned back to Arjun's home, very disappointed that their investigation wasn't moving at all. They had just reached Arjun's home, when they found Riya walking to and fro in the kitchen.
Arjun rushed to her, held her by her shoulders and asked her what was wrong.
Riya was trembling at what she had just been told, she was so scared, and when she felt Arjun's hands on her shoulders she couldn't stop herself from resting her head on his forearm.
Some one hour earlier
He had finally reached her home. He looked around but found all lights out in the house, and the roads also completely empty. He walked around the house, till he found the backdoor, and as quietly as possible, he broke the lock and got inside. Finally he was in, he was happy thinking that he was only a few metres away from her. He slowly checked each room, but he couldn't find anyone. Finally after going in the whole house, he realised that she wasn't here at all.
"Maybe she's in the hospital! But what do i do till then? I can hardly stay here, nor go to that hospital!" Mohit said to himself.
Finally he decided to wait for her here itself, in her house, in her room.
Little did he know that there was an old lady, who stayed next to Riya's house, had heard some breaking noise, and had seen someone getting inside the house. She had immediately called Riya to inform her about this.
Riya told Arjun and Rathore about what her neighbour had told her.
"Rathore do you think it's him?" Arjun asked.
"Could be! Let's go! Wake Shree and Chotu up also!" Rathore told Riya.
"I wanna go also!" Riya said.
"No Riya, you'll stay here to look after Vishal and Kaveri, and i'll also leave some security guards outside! Riya did you tell your neighbour to be very careful because this Mohit is very dangerous!"Arjun said.
"Yes, i asked her to go to sleep, and not try to spy at all on my house!"Riya said, "Ok, i'll stay here, but do let me know if it's really him."
