Sridevi Voted India's Greatest Actress Ever

SRIDEVI IS VOTED INDIA'S GREATEST ACTRESS EVER! She won the CNN-IBN ONLINE POLL by a landslide 39% votes! Who is India's greatest actress of all time? Unlike the actor category, this group had a very stiff competition. The given list included the likes of Waheeda Rehman, Madhubala, Nargis, Sabitri Chatterjee, Meena Kumari, Nutan, Shabana Azmi, Smita Patil, Deepti Naval, Madhuri Dixit, Madhabi Mukherjee, Sharada, B Saroja Devi, Rakhee Gulzar,Kommareddy Savitri, Suraiya, Suchitra Sen, Sridevi , Devika Rani and Aishwarya Rai.It was an interesting list covering different eras and heroines with different USPs, and this confused the voters. Sridevi's return to films with 'English Vinglish' appears to have helped her immensely. Her popularity across different age groups is not questionable; she got 39% of the total votes. Madhuri Dixit and Savitri came second and third respectively with 16% and 12% vote shares. Telugu language dominated the scenario even in this section. Sridevi and Savitriare cemented their place in the hearts of millions via some Telugu films. Aishwarya and B Saroja Devi wrestled against each other to get 8% and 6% votes. Madhubala found support from 4% voters while Smita Patil enjoyed the company of 3% voters. Waheeda Rehman, Shabana Azmi, Nargis and Sharada received 2% votes each. This is a unique feat to achieve for Malayam actress Sharada and it should be seen as an acknowledgement of her scintillating performances. Meena Kumari, Nutan and Suchitra Sen are adjudged at par with each other with 1% vote sharing. Deepti Naval, Suraiya, Savitri Chatterjee, Madhabi Mukherjee, Rakhee and Devika Rani surprisingly failed to control even 1% of the total vote.

I Think Sridevi finally hired a PR team. First, article of her being a great "mom" to Arjun. Now her being greatest actress of all time.

This is based on public votes. Im sure if madhuri won it u wouldnt have said it. India is not just about bolly. Madhuri is a nobody in south,while sri was a top paid actress in tamil and telugu. Not surprising why she won this poll as she is popular all over india when compared to other bolly actresses. Also that so called best mom article ur talking is taken from boney's interview to filmfare which was posted before few days by desigal

I just think after being rejected at every award function, she has hired a PR. She learned her lesson that talent alone doesnt get u anywhere in bollywood.

Its Women's Day Special Issue where the husbands of Superstar Actresses like Ash,mads,sri etc speaks abt them. Also How is her personal life related to this poll? How can anyone esp reputed news channel like CNN IBN rig an online poll where u can vote only once? Its not like MTV awards or some other indian polls where ppl can vote for there fav celebs how many ever time they want

For me it was Madhuri and will always be her.
