Happens. Now and then, someone walks into yours and your loved ones life and upsets the whole equation, the whole game , and causes an innocent threat. That someone is a rooted chapter from the life of your loved one - someone who knows those colours and variations of that someone special so well that suddenly , you become a complete stranger. A beautiful stranger who walks off the road and straight into your life , threatening without trying , to snatch away what you thought was always yours. People in question: Zoe & Salwaar Kameez.
Even 'strangers' have amazing variations. Someone you have nurtured with blood, love and 100% commitment puts you into a test to see how true your love is. If you choose emotions and love, you are theirs. If you choose your conscience and your pursuit of truth , you suddenly become a stranger . All those years of love, bonding ,sentiments are washed out because you made a choice that was of your conscience and not your heart. People in question : Asad & Ayaan.
Lets talk about Jammie( Asad's petname from Tanveer ), Zoe , Tannu ( Salwar-Kameez's petname from Asad) FIRST. Here we go:
1. That awkward moment , when you are sitting on a dining table where you used to laugh and joke until yesterday and suddenly, the conversation is about an endearing family friend. (Zoe)
2. That awkward moment , when you realize your Mr.Khan was inseparable from a childhood friend once upon a time and she happens to be a lovely woman in meters of clothes. ( Zoe).
3. That awkward moment when your heart melts like a chocolate puddle as the love of your life worries over you and is trying desperately to speak to you and a salwaar-kameez comes waltzing in. (Zoe ).
4. That awkward moment when there are so many people sitting on the dining table but your eyes go and rest on your hoity toity who leaves the food as soon as she sees you. ( Asad).
5. That awkward moment when you are so emotionally wrought over someone and all you can utter is " Should i call a doctor for you?" ( Asad )
6. That super awkward moment when you have to introduce the love of your life to your best friend and you realize that VERBALLY you have not even reached a stage where you can call her your friend. ( Asad).
7. That awkward moment when a pair of gorgeous salwaar-kameez comes and tells you how much you don't know your soulmate alongwith giving you rhetorical questions on your relationship with him and her . ( Salwaar -Kameez on AsYa).
To be honest, there is NOTHING to be upset about as far as today's episode is concerned. Salwaar Kameez didn't ask or say anything that was wrong. Asad is her childhood buddy and she is ACCORDINGLY free with him. Her concern for Asad and her treatment of him was of a best friend.She is curious about Zoe because she noticed an unsaid tension between Asad and Zoe. She has not done anything negative YET.
Zoe is a woman in love and this slow process of seeing Asad being peeled away from her or rather her reaction to Asad's closeness to that woman is heart-wrenching but natural. The image of Asad hugging Salwaar Kameez and this slow poisoning that how close that Salwaar Kameez is to Asad is too much for her to tolerate or even register. Zoe has always been hypersensitive about Asad and considering that this friendship of her JahaanPanaah with Tanveer is like a stab wound for her. Zoe , at this point, can handle anything except Asad being snatched away from her. More than Tanveer actually doing it , its more in Zoe's mind and in Asad's denial.
Asad is a man in love , yes. He is . In love . With his Miss.Faarooqui. Lekin jazbaat mein beh nahiin sakte. Yes, he can sprint like an electron in his hunt for Zoe when he sees that iPad. He can scream Zoe a million times as she collapses in his arms. He can forget Salwaar -Kameez and keep looking at Zoe in the rear view mirror. He can leave the dining table and rush after Zoe to just go and see if she is okay and will she still speak to him? He can feel her pain when she whimpers with the anti-septic. But...he has to REMIND himself that she is a 'stupid girl' because of whom his Mom is not listening to him and because of whom he could not reach court on time. Asad has to hide behind something DESPERATELY that can tie him so that he doesn't give in to his emotions and admit that he loves Zoe.
Coming to Asad & Ayaan, the oft-discussed valid question still remains - Why are you trying to stop Asad by emotional arm twisting instead of bloody going out in search of the truth? How can Asad go and lie in the court that he saw nothing when he gave a 2.5meter long lecture to Rashid on moral codes when he caught him with the skeleton? If Asad's conscience is not allowing him to go and lie under oath and deny justice to that mysterious dead woman , how will he?
Ayaan is right in his place because he has chosen emotion while his brother has chosen moral judgment. But... what is not right is calling Asad 'sautela'. The same brother risked his life and reputation for you a million times . To see what? This day when he suddenly becomes a villain because he has made a choice? Come on, Ayaan. You really cannot be serious. Are you?
Point being , today everyone is in a SITUATION and i don't see any reason to criticize anyone, except Ayaan's use of the word 'Sautela'.
Zoe is discovering her love for Asad and the pain is too much for her to bear especially with the mild threat that she could lose Asad to Salwaar-Kameez. She is crying because her heart is making her cry and not Asad.
Asad is a complete mess. In love with his Zoe, ostracized by his mother , dumped by his brother and too much emotional strain because he can deal with the matters of the mind but not his heart. To not embrace Zoe is a big struggle for him. And the current drama of his family is weighing down on him.
Salwaar-Kameez is an inside outsider who has come in as support to Asad and a serious threat to Zoe. She is trying to mend things and as of now, she is not trouble.
Ayaan , Dilshad , Shireen are in an emotional boat over Rashid. Their behavior, attitude , reactions are those of injured people. When we are bleeding inside , we say and do things that we regret and here , Asad has set the tradition.
P.S- The cause of Zoe's tears is not Asad. Its Salwaar-Kameez's importance in Asad's life and the Khan House as she discovers in the precap. The cause of Asad's pain is not Ayaan. Its the choices and decisions that he has made. Its simple.
P.P.S- The best scene was when Asad-Zoe-Tanveer were traveling back home. Zoe was looking at Tanveer, Tanveer was looking at Asad and Asad was looking at Zoe. So filmy!đ¤Ł
