Narayani Shastri has found a new way of de-stressing. After shooting non-stop for some years now, Narayani has turned to photography. "I wasn't acting and there weren't any earth-shattering offers coming my way either," she admits. After completing her work in Piya Ka Ghar, Narayani stumbled upon photography quite accidentaly. "My friend Amit Ashar was the one who introduced me to it. We were shooting for an ad campaign when I borrowed his camera and started clicking pictures," recalls Narayani.
The feedback that she received from Amit was encouraging enough for her to take it up seriously. "I'm not a trained photographer. I just click pictures," she says. But her desire to master the art is growing. "I'm planning to buy a professional camera so that I can practice and master my skills." Wild life and nature are her favourite subjects. Ask her if she'd want to take up photography as a full-time profession and she says: "It's a passion not profession. I shoot pictures that make me happy. Photography makes me feel I'm capable of doing a lot more than just acting."
