Not in the industry for perks: Ram Kapoor
As one of the biggest stars on Television, Ram Kapoor is slowly but surely making his mark in Bollywood too.
Although he started with cameos in movies like Karthik Calling Karthik, Udaan, Ek Main Aur Ek Tu and Agent Vinod, the actor is doing meatier roles with films like Student Of The Year, Mai and his upcoming YRF film, Mere Dad Ki Maruti. But it's not the size of the role that hold importance for the actor but the sheer passion of acting.
"I enjoy all kinds of performances and take each role differently. I keep the audiences in mind. I love the process of acting and to turn your passion into a career is the biggest gift. I think you have to be really lucky to pick the sort of roles you want to do", says Ram.
Adding, "I love the perks the industry offers but that's not the reason why I got into the industry. My dad is extremely successful so I've seen the money and luxury growing up. I'm nowhere close to his stature. I just love the process of portraying characters. I tend to take up roles that other actors may not consider. People always told me why cameos in films when you are so big on TV. But the kind of roles you get to play in films you won't get to play those on TV".
