At haveli; Sumitra (Su) and Gehna (G) are folding some clothes and talking about Nandu's return from school, and they start talking about a mother-child relationship; their bond. Su thinks of Ganga (G3) and feels bad for her, because her little one has been separated from her. G then says that a child-mother love is such that, a mother can go to any extent to see happiness of her child. That's when Su says, just like the way G has a taken a strong/bold step to bring Nandu a companion.
Su is very proud of G. G expresses her concern on how DS would react on knowing that they have been hiding this pregnancy matter for a while. But Su assures that all will fall in place. Just then Basant (V) enters and says that he has brought some apples for G, but on seeing Su, he feels embarrassed. Su gauges the situation and excuses herself out of the room.
At CH; Anandi is very worried that Shiv's (S) phone is not getting through.
At haveli; All are comforting Ganga and assuring her that Shiv will bring her baby. Nandu (N)enters and is surprsied to see G3, so asks who she is. G tells that she is his didi (elder sister) and N fumes saying that he wanted a little bro / sis to play with, and not and elder one like G3 and runs to his room. All laugh at him.
Shiv enters haveli and everyone looks at him with lot of expectations, especially Ganga. But not seeing the baby with him, G3 gets angry and starts questioning him. Shiv helplesslessly answers that they could not catch Ratan Singh. Hearing this G3 is devastated and bursts out loud. Singhs ask her to control herself but she starts to run away. She loses control over herself but Singhs manage to calm her and take her inside.
Shiv feels helpless and walks out of there. Jagya (J) is confident that Shiv will bring G3's child back.
Shiv tells police inspector to continue their search for Ratan Singh. Shiv enters CH and Anandi (A) is very pleased to see him, but his worried looks tell a lot. Shiv leaves telling everyone that he failed in his mission. Anandi follows him with a plate of food and feeds him. Shiv feels disappointed and shares his grief with Anandi. He explains how G3 was happy to see a glimpse of her child. And how he failed a mother. He narrates the entire incident and some flash backs are shown .
Shiv feels very guilty and a tear drops out of his eye. Anandi gently comforts him and says she is confident that Shiv will be able to catch RT and bring G3's child back to her. She then asks him to sleep and gently caresses him on his head. He feels good and sleeps.
Next morning at Badi haveli, G3 gets up and starts crying out for her baby. J asks her control herself and she calms down.
It is a beautiful morning in CH too. Anandi was resting with her back against the bed wall, while Shiv is holding her hand in sleep. She wakes up and smiles at Shiv who is holding her hand. Alarm beeps and Shiv wakes up. She asks him if he slept well and he says if it was not for her, he wouldn't have slept so well.
She excuses herself in order to prepare breakfast. Shiv releases her hand.
Voice over: In a second marriage, when hesitations reduce and when one starts trusting their partner, the distances between them lessens and they start coming close.
Pre-cap: Like in her dream, Shiv comes as a Surya badal on a horse and Anandi is wearing a bengali styled saree without a pallu on her head. Shiv walks towards her, and she tells him ' I love you Shiv' and she holds his hand and embraces him. Shiv hugs her tigthly. Happy sweet romantic moment ( Is this really happening? can't believe it - wonder who's dream it is)
