Ekta Kapoor ropes in Sidharth Malhotra
Ekta Kapoor has signed on Sidharth Malhotrafor her new romantic thriller, The Villain, to be directed by Mohit Suri. The Student Of The Year actor will be seen as the new-age angry man on a love mission.
Says Ekta, "We were in need of a young action hero who has the intensity to carry a film of this genre on his shoulders. Sidharth is just that. He is popular, desirable and tomorrow's answer to brawn with soul."
Adds Mohit, "Sidharth is rugged and good looking. This role is tailor-made for him. Romance, drama and music have been the highlights of my movies and this one will be no different. We're currently finalising the female lead." This is the director's first project outside the Bhatt camp. He says, "I'm looking forward to working with Ekta on what I believe will be my most commercial venture till date."
The Villain goes into production in August and releases early next year.
