The forum's TRPs are definitely high today and I bet the TRPs of the show this week will be up thanks to the infamous thappad

I agree, in real life, this would be totally unacceptable to me as a woman but I understand this is a fictional show. They have to sensationalize everything. Why do you think 50 shades of Gray is such a bestseller? Do you think in real life, any woman would want Christian Grey as a lover?

Unfortunately, TV shows and media glamorize aggression against women in the name of 'deep hidden love'

In the end the logic would be-, AAK feels his 'haq' on ZF and that's why he is the only one who can kiss her or hit her...no one else can

Don't get too worked up. The thappad has served it's purpose...people will be glued to QH more than they have and it's going to be a win-win situation for the channel and the PH.

It's all about the bottom line...

I said the same thing in other post, his haq on Zoya..

I was wondering why no anger on Mariyum, she is not a child, she knew he wanted her out of house and she was the main reason really for this, then why all oulash on Zoya??

Because Zoya is not any girl for him.. He expects her to understand him better.

But poor girl did, still she got all the rage. Poor timing on Zoya's part but hopefully she will give it back to him later for not trusting her words AGAIN😡

"Haq" does not equal right to hit!! There are other ways to show that "Haq" and as far as the TRP's I think here the writers need to be very careful, short term TRPs could cost them long term TRPS!! As some may be more tuned in there might be many who will be turned away.

Bheegi, after seeing the support this has generated and the number of women defending Asad, I feel you are completely right. Then again, in the US women loved Laura and Luke on GH - the had no problem in accepting that what they saw was a rape. It took 30 years for the public to change their way of thinking and it will take Indian audiences to also change their thinking as well.

You are right, this is going to get them what they want - TRPs and over the top drama of Asad repenting for his actions. PrincessJojo had the most inventive idea - Asad running his hand through some grinder and Zoya putting haldi past on it...seriously though..how is she going to fall in love with him now. R they going to have Asad grab her and kiss that check and that cut with mitwa moments in the background? Seriously, this is such a disappointment to what could have been a really good show.

Yes, I am sure this thappad will change their equation forever. Asad will always repent and probably hurt himself in that process. Zoya is made of steel but hopefully will leave the house once Dilshaad has recovered.

Totally agree! This "haq" thinking is something I hear a lot on Indian dramas where women will say, my father has "haq" over him to do what he wants...this "haq" thing reminds of some type of enslavement and ownership issue. It's what people use to justify their ability to do what they want to you.

And open up the way for the Ayaan the clown to enter into Zoya's life. They had too much of a good jodi to see the Ayaan Zoya romance happening so they had to make Asad look bad and give a reason for Zoya and Ayaan to happen - that's the only reason I can derive to justify this behavior. They did it on another show.

Yes Vineeta it's a weird way of showing 'haq' in stories. Even Devdas hit Paro and gave her a permanent scar on her forehead. I think the PH was clever in showing this thappad...if you look carefully, it seems like he is just swinging his hand in rage and Zoya just happened to be in his line of fire. If there was a piece of glass or a flower vase instead, he would have broken that. So, this thappad can go both ways and that's why there are so many opinions on this forum.

I just want Zoya to keep her self respect and not try to give him any explanations at this point. Let him figure it out and repent.

i agree but for some reason love stories thrive on this kind of 'haq'- Devdas is a prime example

I used to watch a serial in which even rape was justified 😕 and people loved it😕..of course an Ekta Kapoor's show.Hope Gul won't stoop that low
