But for me something really fundamental changed. I will never be able to enjoy Asad as I did before. I watch the show for romance and that was taken away from me.

Once something is ruined it is really hard to go back. Once that trust is violated in a relationship you can't go back.

Although I may watch occasionally to see how the story progresses .. now it will be much easier to walk away.

Oh well another show bites the dust. Usually my infatuation lasts about 6 months here it was only 3 hmmm

Shelly, even I am disappointed but I know they will show something really endearing and lovey dovey in next few weeks that everyone will forget the thappad. Most people have a short memory and lasts for a few episodes. Just like the mangalpur event made asad the ultimate hero, now he is the ultimate villain for some. I know I will watch the show unless asad's violent outbursts become chronic and zoya's self respect starts tanking. I wouldn't be able to see the show if zoya becomes a docile victim. Till she has the spunk and self respect, I will tolerate asad's temper because I know she is the only one who can change him permanently.

To each his own I guess. Getting knocked around isn't my idea of romance.

Me too...I couldn't go beyond the first few chapters but millions of women all over the world 'love' that stuff...why? Can't fathom.

I enjoyed the emotions so much that it was horrifying to see the slap!

Yes, that's how entertainment media is. In the US, they talk about gun violence but most movies show extreme violence because that sells. 😕

Hi nishi.. I am fine. Yes, the thappad has woken up a lot of people from slumber. I am sure it will soon be forgotten when asad mian turns into a suffering lover. Then I am sure everyone would be upset with zoya for making him go through so much pain.

Yeah, it's all about what sells.

I disagree...he was not justified but its just a portrayal of his character. He is an angry man and loses control over his emotions when pushed to the limits. Eg: wo mera bhai hai episode, burial episode and now this. With time, I am sure he will change and zoya will bring about the change...she is going to be his anger management therapist.

Hi Sangeeta,
Hmmm the turn around would have to be really significant.

I am not saying I will stop watching only that this will make easier to walk away. Really do hope that this type of behaviour is not here to stay. Karan is wonderful so would like to continue enjoying him. hope the writers don't take away the vital part of Zoya that makes her so wonderful to watch.
