This is dedicated to forum member Anamika who wanted me to do predictions for this film 😊

Prabhu Deva has had a very successful innings so far in Bollywood. The two films that he directed-WANTED and ROWDY RATHORE- were huge hits and brought back the careers of Salman and Akshay respectively.

However, with ABCD-ANYBODY CAN DANCE, Prabhu has shifted gears, and is acting in the film. How will he fare as an actor, is the question!

ABCD's trailer was launched a few months ago, and it received it's share of praise from people. The praise stemmed from the fact that film's look had an innovative feel to it, with the showing of the dance moves that were shown in the trailer. Prabhu has also made an effort to promote the film, an example being him being on Salman's Big Boss show.

However, other than that, there doesn't seem to be too much buzz around the film. It's been low-key buzz. Prabhu Deva is known as a talented director, but as an actor, he obviously doesn't have the star power yet to lure the audience into cinema halls in hordes. The competition from Akshay's SPECIAL 26 will also harm ABCD's box office prospects. ABCD may get some appreciation, but at the box office, it will likely be a tough journey! One small aspect though is the fact that ABCD is releasing in 3D, which will help the collections a little.

My Box office Predictions for ABCD:

Opening Day: 2 crores net

Opening weekend: 7 crores net

Lifetime Collections: 15 crores net

Overall Box Verdict: Flop

Awww! I was hoping it would do better. But yes it looks like a washout.

Yeah seems like Prabhu's acting career will have a bad start in terms of box office.

well its just ur prediction ...Movie n thse new born actors will prove themselves inshaallah...Remo sir has promised that its a complete entertainment package ...Acc to him climax is the best part of the muv ...even if not superhit or blockbuster im sure its gonna be a hit ...

Not sure how it's going to do, but the music sucks for a dance based movie. Also, because most of the "actors" are from DID, I don't really have expectations on how well they will act since first and foremost they are dancers.

Aww thanks for the dedication srkat!

Oh dear...I was hoping for a more positive review... at least average!

I wish I knew the budget too. Nobody casted would charge much - they're all dancers and Prabhu Deva is supposed to more of a guide in the movie.

I am disappointed with the songs in the movie! Apart from Bezubaan and Muqabala, nothing too good and that's not a great thing when you've got a dance movie.

And you're right Special 26 will hurt it's business if its anything like A Wednesday.

I didn't watch FALTU but I think that did well for small movie. I'll definitely watch this for all the DID contestants! I hate when the make a "dance" movie with actors because most actors can't dance. I like that Remo's trying to do something different! Let's hope there's a good story and some awesome dancing!
