RATINGS: Jan 1st to Jan 21st
We know we made you wait a little longer, only because we had no other option. Nevertheless, the ratings are finally here based on a three week average.
So, without much ado here are the ratings!
1. Tanhaiyan Naye Silsilay [Last Episode] – ARY
2. Quddusi Saheb Ki Bewah – ARY
3. Zindagi Gulzar Hai – HUM
4. Ek Nayee Cinderella – GEO
5. Daagh – ARY
6. Ek Tamanna Lahasil Si – HUM
7. Aks – ARY
8. Saat Pardon Mein – GEO
9. Teri Raah Mein Rul Gaye – Urdu1/Meri Behan Maya [Last Episode] – GEO
10. Mirat ul Uroos – GEO / Na Kaho Tum Mere Nahin – HUM
Notes
Top 5 remains unchanged but surprisingly Ek Tamanna… rises up. ZGH, Quddusi, Tanhaiyan and Cinderella are all averaging 4-4.5.
Daagh has fallen with ZGH rising a little and Saat Pardon Mein seeing a major jump.
GEO's promotion has resulted in Miral ul Uroos showing impressive numbers. Express's Talkhiyan just doesn't make it here.
Teri Raah… is falling; however, many say it was due to Indian awards airing at the same time on other channels.
Lastly, the whole breaking news thing, long march and may be matches as well did affect the ratings a bit.

New Channels:
GEO remains number one. Express makes its presence felt. Surprisingly, HERO TV got a big boost during the last few days.
P.S: Those wondering why ZGH is not number 1 here.. read this.
1. Firstly, these are average ratings of 3 weeks, ZGH's ratings got this jump only for the 18th Jan episode.
2. Secondly, ZGH received this rating only in urban areas of its target audience and NOT overall.
3. Lastly, shows like Daagh and Saat Pardon Mein are extremely popular among smaller cities that also contribute to the ratings. Nonetheless, ZGH is NOW expected to increase.

Plus, Haseeb, kindly visit https://www.gallop.com.pk or contact them to get your question answered. There areother media agencies that provide ratings, and some of them (if not all) do include not-so-metropolitan cities like Rawalpindi. I assume even People's Meter has its presence in RWP D, which to me are not really metropolitan cities with all due respect.
From official website: "Medialogic was set up in late 2006 in order to address a growing need for accurate, reliable and actionable TV audience data. Medialogic has installed a panel of approximately 600 meters across Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi and Islamabad to gauge second-to-second viewership data for more than 4,000 individuals."If this were not true we would never have been able to know how big of a hit Anokha Laadla kind of dramas were on PTV or why YZH is still getting TRPs.
Additionally, even in metropolitan cities there ARE people who watch dramas like Daagh. We hope that answered your question.
