Part 39
Khushi clutched her duptana tightly and ran behind him when she saw Suraj standing face to face with Arnav.
She ran to stand in front of Arnav.
"It's not his fault. I called him here. Please, don't do anything to him. Please," She begged and Arnav smiled at her innocent love.
That was the power of love that made her beg for her own enemy. Right now she could stand for him, against her own dad.
"So, will you save your enemy from your own dad? haan Khushi," He whispered in her ear.
"Do you think your Arnav needs any protection?" He smiled and then came around to stand in front of her.
Suraj clenched his fists in anger and looked at Arnav and then Khushi who was almost hidden from his view.
Arnav took one step ahead but Khushi held him tightly, not allowing him to move.
"Please God, don't let anything happen to him,"She closed her eyes and prayed for him.
Suraj's eyes fell on Khushi's hand that was holding Arnav from his arm.
"Khushi!" He roared but she tightened her grip on Arnav's hand.
Arnav gave a deadly glare to Suraj.
"Mr Arnav Singh Raizada, I am afraid my men gave me a great insight into your bio data. So you are son of Vikram Singh Raizada?"Suraj asked and Arnav smiled bitterly.
"I am afraid your men are quiet slow and no wonder that they would be one of the reasons of your doom. But mind it only one of the reasons because your own deeds are enough to spell your doom."
Khushi was breathing heavily and looked around to find beeje standing there.
"Take her inside." Suraj ordered his men to take Khushi inside.
"If anyone dared to come near her, let alone touch her then that person would have to face me first."
Everyone froze in their tracks and Suraj looked at Arnav
"So Mr Arnav Singh Raizada, son of Mr Vikram Singh Raizada. I did a mistake at that time. I killed your father and I thought there won't be any problem, but I was wrong. I should have killed you too at that time."
Suraj was expecting Arnav to lose his control but to his dismay his words didn't seem to have any effect on Arnav.
Arnav was standing there totally calm but he felt Khushi breathing heavy when she heard those words. He turned around and saw her shocked face.
The last thing he wanted was to get her into this mess.
He looked at Suraj.
"I think we should talk about it in private because I think you would want less people to become witness of your crime." He gritted his teeth and Suraj consented.
He tried to pry off her hand from his arm but she held her more tightly.
"No, I would never let you go."She cried and hugged him ignoring all the people standing there.
He killed his own sister, he killed Arnav's dad. I never thought he could be a monster.
She never thought that her dad could be cruel monster and in one day she got to know so much about him.
"He killed his sister, he killed your father and now he will.." She sobbed and hugged him tightly
"Do you trust me?" He asked her and she nodded her head
"Then just go inside. I will be fine. Nothing is going to happen." She left his arm unwillingly and he went with Suraj towards the other room.
Arnav could sense the restlessness in Suraj as they entered the other room. This was the first time Arnav saw him scared of something.
"Why this restlessness, Mr Suraj? You and emotions, I think they both are the two different things. You are an animal who couldn't have any emotion for anyone. You can't even love your own children without any benefit." Arnav slanted him a murderous glare.
"Where were these emotions when you killed your own sister?" He scoffed.
"And where were your emotions when you killed your own best friend Vikram Singh Raizada for money?"
"Yes, I did it. I gave supari to sajjan for his murder. He had the money and I got blank documents signed by him and I had to kill him to get that money but I made a grave mistake, I left his family alive."
"Yes indeed you made a big mistake Mr Gupta."
"But he had nothing left, I thought his children would suffer and they would not be able to stand on their own. But you established the whole Raizada business, with your uncle and brother.
I was astonished to know that why a person having so much money would come here, to act as a guard for my daughter, but then I realized that it was your revenge that had brought you here. But now, you can leave."
He smiled and shook his head.
"Do you think you can decide when Arnav Singh Raizada has to leave?" He walked arrogantly and sat on the couch and placed his feet on the table.
"Well there is lot to be decided about you as of now." He rubbed his forehead and knotted his brows as if he is in a deep thought.
"I think we still have to decide your future. What exactly should be your punishment for your unforgivable crimes?"
Suraj's blood boiled seeing him acting so casually.
"Hmm," His voice was calm as if he was discussing about something really unimportant.
"According to the Indian court of law, you punishment would be HANG TILL DEATH. But that would be very easy punishment for you. So what is your opinion?"
"How dare you? You are sitting in front of me and in my house and you are talking about my death?" Suraj roared.
"Nah, I am sitting in my own house."He corrected
"Remember, you bought this from the money you took from my dad. So you are the guest here and I don't welcome uncooperative guests. Will you try to be a little humble?" He grinned slyly.
Before he could say anything Arnav continued.
"Mr Gupta, I think now it's time to expose your face, in front of the public."
"You have no proof."
As Gupta was speaking, he saw Arnav's muscles in his jaw getting relaxed and the hostility in his eyes getting changed to interest and speculation.
"Hell I have,"
"If you remember your best friend Sajjan has been missing from quite some time now. And if you would use your resources you would realize that he was kidnapped from this mansion only. Well that is one of the living proofs that would be there to expose you."
"But that is not enough to prove me guilty. He is a criminal." He fought back.
"Yeah but I think you are forgetting about the snaps and papers that you hid in the basement wall."
"What?"
"Yeah, it was not difficult for me to get them and now can you tell me how you are going to prove yourself innocent? You have only one option at hand and that is to sign these papers right now and then I may not expose your real face in front of this world."
Arnav took the blank papers out and threw it on him.
Suraj looked at papers and then at Arnav
"Don't forget you are dealing with Suraj Gupta." He warned him.
"From the past so many years, I made sure that I would never forget my enemy." He replied back.
For now, I have to sign these papers but once you are gone from here, I will change everything. Suraj thought and took his pen out.
His hand shivered as he signed those papers.
"Now I have signed the papers." He handed papers to Arnav
"But the deal is still incomplete."
Suraj looked at him surprised
"You won't get Khushi married to anyone ." He told him and Suraj face grew red with anger and silence prevailed in the room
