Change of surname after marriage?

Nidhi does not have this problem. Since her husband has no surname.

How many of the forumites have or will take their husband's name? If you don't mind, Indicate your age group - twenties, thirties etc...?

No..i still retain my maiden name. age-25

No I still use my maiden last name. I had an identity before marriage. Does that change overnight?

Thanks when I actually created a email account with my would be name no one who mattered recognized me. Hence the decision to continue with maiden name.

I haven't changed as a matter of principle...wanted to retain my identity..plus didn't want to go through the hassles of name change
