Brooklyn Peltz Beckham, the eldest son of David and Victoria Beckham, has made a series of public allegations against his parents, opening up about deep fractures within one of Britain’s most famous families. In a lengthy statement shared on Instagram, the 26 year old accused his parents of controlling behaviour, media manipulation, and actions that he says damaged his relationship and wedding.

The statement, which runs across six pages, explains why Brooklyn says he does not want to reconcile with his family. According to him, the issues did not begin after marriage but had been present long before he tied the knot with actress Nicola Peltz in 2022.

Claims of Control and Media Pressure

Brooklyn wrote that his parents have interfered in his personal life for years and that their involvement intensified around the time of his wedding. He alleged that they repeatedly attempted to influence his decisions and relationships, claiming that the situation reached a point where he felt forced to speak publicly.

“My parents have been trying endlessly to ruin my relationship since before my wedding, and it hasn't stopped,” he posted.

He also accused his parents and their team of feeding information to the press, saying the constant media narrative left him with no choice but to respond. “Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed. I do not want to reconcile with my family. I'm not being controlled, I'm standing up for myself for the first time in my life.”

Wedding Day Allegations Take Center Stage

One of the most striking claims in Brooklyn’s statement relates to his wedding day. He alleged that his mother, Victoria Beckham, disrupted what was meant to be a private moment between him and his bride during the celebrations.

According to Brooklyn, singer Marc Anthony invited him onto the stage for what had been scheduled as his first dance with Nicola. Instead, he claims his mother was waiting there. “Marc Anthony called me to the stage, where in the schedule was a planned to be my romantic dance with my wife but instead my mum was waiting to dance with me instead. She danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone. I've never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life.”

Brooklyn said the incident took place in front of hundreds of guests, leaving him shaken and upset on a day that was meant to celebrate his marriage.

Dress Drama and Wedding Tensions

Brooklyn also revisited reports of tension surrounding Nicola Peltz’s wedding dress. He alleged that his fashion designer mother initially agreed to make the gown but pulled out close to the wedding.

He claimed that the decision came at the last moment, despite Nicola being excited about wearing Victoria’s design. According to Brooklyn, this forced Nicola to quickly find an alternative outfit, adding stress in the final days before the ceremony.

Alleged Name Rights Dispute and Fallout

Another claim involved pressure over what Brooklyn described as the rights to his name. He alleged that weeks before the wedding, his parents “repeatedly pressured and attempted to bribe me into signing away the rights to my name,” though he did not clarify which legal rights were involved.

Brooklyn said he refused to comply, stating that the decision “affected the payday.” He added that after this refusal, his parents’ behaviour toward him changed. “Recently, I have seen with my own eyes the lengths that they'll go through to place countless lies in the media, mostly at the expense of innocent people, to preserve their own facade. But I believe the truth always comes out.”

Brooklyn married Nicola Peltz, the daughter of billionaire businessman Nelson Peltz and former model Claudia Heffner Peltz, in 2022. David and Victoria Beckham have not responded to the allegations. The statement has triggered wide debate online, with fans divided and media outlets closely watching whether the Beckham family chooses to address the claims publicly.
