Love is the state of despair,
Which tore the heart into the pieces
Which caused eyes to cry.
The love of my life
Made my life hopeless
With his unfaithful nature.
When my condition
Was equal to death,
My best friend
Invited me to his life.
My heart was'nt longing
For his love,
His words did'nt smell
The love for me,
Still I became his bride.
My marriage did'nt flow
Like the lake of love,
But it moved
Like the evergreen ship
Of friendship.
His smile gave me comfort,
His friendship wiped my worries,
His care made me forget my past..
My eyes showed
The rainbow colours
Of affection for him.
His eyes expressed
The passion for me.
My unfaithful lover's
Innocence put me
Into a shock by my true love.
But still my heart thirsted
For my husband's love.
Our heart confessed
Our feelings 2 each other.
But my heart was broken
When he betrayed me.
My lover caught
My hand to be my spouse.
My unsatisfied life
Showed me who my
Real love is.
But I hated to forget
His betrayal.
God of love opened my eyes
To show the truth of our relation,
My suspecion killed
Our bond of marriage.
But out love did'nt die.
I cursed my mind
Which suspected him.
I repent, but he is so far
That my hands can't reach him.
I'm so depressed
That I have lost all my tears
To weep.
My love was pure,
But it gave me only sorrows
Which led me to the stage of despair.

With his unfaithful nature. ---refers to Garv.. since he was "unfaithful" with Kali.. and at the time he was the luv of Kumudz life.. and so his unfaithfulness caused Kumud to feel "hopeless"
When my condition

Invited me to his life. ---when Kumud was feeling hopeless due to Garv's unfaithfullness with Kali, Kshitij who was Kumud's best friend then, re-entered her life

Still I became his bride. ---Kumud didn't love Kshitij at this point no more, since she now loved Garv, but she still married Kshitij

Of friendship. ---Kumud and Kshitij's marriage wasn't full of intense love between the two, but it was more of a beautiful relationship of two best friends
His smile gave me comfort,
His friendship wiped my worries,
His care made me forget my past.. ---Basically Kshitij was the best friend to Kumud.. he comforted her, and always reassured her and he cared for her so so so much that Kumud began to forget the pain in her past (with Garv)
My eyes showed

Of affection for him. ---Kumud had the deepest affection for Kshitij, she cared about him a lot but never really expressed it while they were married

The passion for me. ---Kshitij's love and passion for Kumud clearly showed through..

Into a shock by my true love. ---Ok this line kinda confuses me, but i think its trying to say that although Garv was unfaithful to Kumud, he was still in a sense innocent (since Kali tricked him into it). But i dont understand the shock by true love that its talking abt 😕
But still my heart thirsted
For my husband's love. ---Even though she loved Garv, she still thirsted for Kshitij's love?
Our heart confessed
Our feelings 2 each other. --Kumud and Kshitij confessed their feelings for one another? (I don't remember this happening.. but I guess it means their hearts confessed to each other how they felt. So Kshitij obviously loved Kumud dearly, and Kumud loved Kshitij too but more as a friend and companion by this stage)
But my heart was broken
When he betrayed me. ---i hav no clue what this means.. coz Kshitij didn't betray Kumud after marriage 😕
My lover caught
My hand to be my spouse. ---Kshitij, Kumuds initial love, caught her hand and was ready to marry her.
My unsatisfied life
Showed me who my
Real love is.
But I hated to forget
His betrayal. ---Kumud life was unsatisfied (coz she kept bouncing from man to man 😆 Kshitij to Garv to Kshitij etc) and her life finally showed her who her real love was.. (i think its referring to Garv) but she couldn't forget what he did to her, and how Garv betrayed her when they were together.

But our love did'nt die. ---Finally Kumud realised that the whole time she was so suspicios of Garv and whether or not he betrayed her, it was her suspicion which broke their marriage in the end. But even after that, they both continued to love each other.

To weep. --- Kumud felt really guilty for suspecting Garv.. but by that time it was too late, and he was out of reach by then. Kumud became really depressed..

Which led me to the stage of despair. ---Kumud's love for Garv was pure, but it only gave her pain and sorrow, and this led Kumud to be ultimately in a state of despair for life

Hope it all made sense. I agree with most of it, but some of it doesn't really make sense, and the ending doesn't really satisfy me for some reason.

Btw jus wondering, is this a poem from somewhere or did u write it yourself? Coz its amazing how well it corresponds to Kkusum 😃

i think shez in favour of both really... coz in this song Kumud has the utmost respect for Kshitij and loves him as a friend yet she also loves Garv but was mad at him coz he was unfaithful to her.. but in the end she realises that Garv was sort of innocent and it was her suspicion which broke their relationship.. but by then Garv was gone..(coz he married Kali i think)
