Salman Farhan fight for their fathers!

Apparently the late Prakash Mehra's son Amit thought he had it made when he got backing from Reliance for the remake of 'Zanjeer'. But he obviously didn't bargain for the combined strength of Salim Khan, Javed Akhtar, Salman, Arbaaz, Sohail Khan and Farhan Akhtar!!!

Legendary writers Salim-Javed have said they need to be paid for the remake and obviously Amit didn't take them seriously enough! He argued that the writers had been paid once and therefore he didn't owe them any royalty. But now, the Script Writers' Association has decided to take Salim and Javed seriously and contest that they deserve to be paid approximately Dhs4.5 million (Rs 6 crores) as compensation! Salim tells masala.com, "We have asked for Rs 3 crores as royalty for the Hindi script and Rs 3 crores (a total of Dhs4.5 million) for the south Indian remake." He further adds that he only licensed his original script to Prakash Mehra and that Javed and he are still the original owners of the script.

Even though there are no signs of Amit Mehra or Reliance offering an explanation for this, people say that they need to get their act straightened out and pay up! As we mentioned earlier, Salman, Sohail, Arbaaz and even Farhan will stop at nothing to protect their fathers!
