Xactly...i hate dem more now...😡😡...honestly dnt watch des crap award shows bt still it hurts wen u see people being so ignorant to sm1 achievements...😭😭

I agree. I said the same thing yday when i watched the shows. Rajesh khanna was the first Bollywood superstar. Just caz he didn't leave chamchas and big production house behind, doesn't mean he didn't deserve proper tribute. His contribution to cinema was as much as yash chopra.

shatrughan sinha,AB and wife..rekha...all are attending these shows and forgets their one time buddy and co star...

also why is only SRK giving tribute to late yashji and others- there was A LOT more to yashchopra than srk! his BEST was BEFORE srk!

Yash Chopra is just too powerful. The Chopras have made and broken careers of several stars and starlets in Bollywood for decades. They had tremendous clout in media. And they are the ones who single handedly made Bollywood go global, got movies released even in those countries where no one cared about India or Indian films. And he was working till his last breath.

Plus these awards are all started at behest of Chopras. Yash Chopra used to support many awards and used to be the first one to attend. He even offered his Yashraj Studio for Filmfares to be held.

He is like a maai-baap to Bollywood. They had to go all out for him.

It's a selfish world out there. Awards and media had nothing to gain from Dara Singh or Rajesh Khanna whereas they ate from hands of Chopra the Kingpin. No surprise that they bow to him.

Yash Chopra had tremendous linkage with Indian and some foreign governments too and is instrumental in emergence of Indian movies as a soft power. Hence all the hoopla around him.
