Joke Awards Season in Bollywood Contnues in 2013.
Writing this post so late in night or say so early in morning, but can't stop laughing at the Joke Awards in Bollywood in 2013 going on all through out. Yes, it has compelled me to come to the desk to write such stuff when a film like Oh My God which is an eye opener to all audiences this year doesn't get nominated at a popular award show. I like to ask these mindless people, jury, organiser of the event, why they make fun of us and all the audiences who have throng to theaters to watch movies with their hard earned money. Yes, I know not nominating a movie like OMG is not that movie loss but in whole that Joke Award function loss.
It give me immense pain to say that when a movie like OMG is given thumbs up by audiences and specially by distributors, exhibitors and theater owners who have invested their money in the film and has made moolah right and left.
Cheapness of these Award shows are going into all time high zone. There is film fraternity among which Awards are distributed or kept. Nowadays fashion is who ever attends an award function returns back with some kind of award. They don't give a damn to Box Office Business or Public verdicts and sentiments. They have literally lost all the charm, authenticity and our trust.
Recently another popular Award function gave Popular Actress Awards to a leading lady of Bollywood, who has hardly acted well in a romantic saga. This sounds more astonishing when there are options available with stellar performances given by many leading ladies in 2012. Yes some awards are justified and well judged. But it is mainly because of compulsion or no other option.
Finally I salute few leading actors who have said no to this awards. Special mention to Aamir Khan who has openly said that these Awards are fixed. Thanks to Ajay Devgn who has never given a damn to these awards function. Also, many thanks to Akshay Kumar who once didn't acknowledge his best actor award for Singh is Kingg and said that best actor award must go to Aamir Khan for Ghajini. Also, thanks to Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar who have started abstaining from few of these award functions (only present for the performances on stage).
Hope work by this leading stars will reform this award show one day. Hope others stars also follows the hard truth path soon. Yes, I know awards means nothing to those who already got their rewards from Aam Junta (Mango People). Yes I know even the Great Sholay (Film of the Millennium ) didn't got a single award. But it hurts somewhere inside, when me belonging from the film industry itself see this cheat. Hope time will change and things will be better one day. Till then no one can stop me from writing this hate post. Jo Ukharna Hai Ukhar Lo, Joke Award Function Walon!
*Sorry in advance to those who are hurt by this post. It is not targeted at you definitely. Hope one should know the purpose and intent of writing this post. The path might be wrong, intention is always right. Addatoday is not afraid of anyone in telling the truth!
