The serial just started in UK yesterday, so haven't seen a lot yet. I wanted to ask you guys something... Have they mentioned in the fertilization proces in the serial? Do they mention the fact that whether a baby is a boy or a girl is decided by the MAN, not the woman??!!! A woman's egg is always X, a man's sperm contains an X or Y....which can make it XX (girl) or XY (boy)...

If not, they should really really bring that up in the serial!!! You can change a whole nation or world with this knowledge!! Women always get blamed for making baby girls, but that's just nonsense. And since this serial is there to change the "soch" of people, they should really bring it up...

What do you guys think 😳

Thats a very valid point.I hope the makers bring it up soon.It should have been brought up when Laxmi was born and when they were planning to get the father remarried. Anyway I hope they make this point soon as Saraswati is going to be married.

I think this was mentioned in the forum before!🤔

But honestly, I don't think it really matters!.......people just assume that 'cause the child comes from the women's womb, she's responsible for the gender!😕

i agree with u ishya. i respect our cultural values but if something is wrong then i am agaisnt it. i think this will change soon too. the practices like sati and dowry has been banned but still in some small villages there are people who practiced them.

the preferenc of gender will change soon too.
we can do one thing. we can spread the word about the fertilization process. i understand for soem people it will be awkward to talk about this with males or soemthing. but if males start to tell other males and women to other women or daughter to mother to father etc. then all will know about it.

but, i'm sure there will be some people who will be like science is not always right. .. blah.. blah...
