a pensive mood permeated the frame right from the first moment. he's leaning close into his plant and pruning. a lost look in his eyes. suddenly flashes of light and a cascade of memories. her voice. scathing, sharp, indicting him, rising passionately in her anger in answer to his "tum... theek ho?" now her diatribe reverberated within him. i wish to have nothing to do with a person like you. bhad mein gaye aap aur bhad mein gaye aap ki naukri. my name on that paper has more meaning than any penalty amount... her insults found their mark. a spark of return anger in his eyes. he picked up the pot he was tending with such care and dashed it on the ground. it shattered.


di walked in and said, ah so there is something in common between you and khushi. gussa. he remained silent. today even his plants failed to bring him comfort, peace, stability. storm in his eyes. as di carried on asking things he didn't want to probe into, his ire rose. perhaps a safer emotion than that inexplicable disquiet. di said she understood he was very upset about the guest house incident. for the second time she mentioned, khushi could have lost her life. writers used asr's elder sister well to allow us a peak into him. but the matter that really bothered him, no one, not asr, not di, not perhaps even writers 😆 had any inkling of. yet.

when she said he actually wanted to explain and apologise to khushi, asr couldn't take it any more. like the pearl string, he snapped.
"enough, di!
maine kabhi kissi ko safai dena zaroori nahin samjha. mujhe uss khushi se kuch nahi kehna. mere liye koi maine nahin rakhti."
uss khushi. that khushi. oh he was really mad at her.

but di persisted and asked what we've been itching to.
"achha? toh phir hum jabhi khushi ki baat kartein hain tum aise bhadak kyon jaatey ho."


and there was khushi, confused, looking for the key to this utterly perplexing puzzle. "yeh humey kya ho raha hai?" why was she not leaping with joy at having given asr a piece of her mind? she had had her say, gone to his house and told him all she wanted to, thrown his job, his contract on his face, and walked off hugging her anger close. then why, why this unhappiness? "toh hume achha lagna chahiye na?phir humey kharab kyon lag raha hai?" even food, her favourite chaat at that, couldn't bring her khushi smile back. buaji, payal, and shyam (who was positively swooning in affection) tried their level best to cheer her up.

they knew it would be a rough day, this resignation thing, and like a caring family, had prepared distraction and lightness to get her up and about. alas, golgappa also couldn't make her forget this confused sad theek nahin hai feeling.


then two things happened at once. jiji asked khushi for a phone, and rahim chacha walked in carrying arnav baba's clothes from the laundry. almost like objects with minds of their own, a few pearls from a broken string and a key, mannat ki chabi, found their way to asr and khushi. and as if on cue rabba vey trilled in wrapping around the whole segment, as a man and a woman stood lost in thoughts of a person they didn't want to think about. they stood quiet and scanning memories in the mind in their own separate spaces, but never really apart.


an intimate, almost set aside sequence with a curious intimacy all its own. camera close, touching skin, lingering, wondering, tying stories together. she held the key and stared at it long. his fingers closed over the pearls.

nani worried about chhotey, lest he should destroy his life like his father had before him. no amount of coaxing by anjali eased her mind. what was this mystery that shrouded the past of asr? an ominous sense in the air.

shyam was in love. he so wanted to make khushi happy. she could see that yet, nothing about him ever touched her. if anything, she was perplexed, a bit turned off every time he tried to get close. the writers though decided to have a bit of fun and so gave shyam two wonderful dialogues about love. "baat hafto ki ho, ya saalon ki, pyaar toh pyaar hota hai." and what if it was about eternity? hamesha? but shyam's pyaar did not know that span of time. like shyam, it was limited.

his "dhai akshar ka ehsaas" was playing games with khushi. she was in such a tizzy that she'd do the very thing she had felt she really never wanted to. "uss aranv singh raizada ka khayal baar baar mere man mein aa raha hai... man kar raha hai ki dubara usse miloon."

Episode 30 and 31

These two epis are about Pawns ad how are they playing against the Knight and the Queen.All the pawns are at positions and getting ready to interfere the game to move forward either hook or by crook.

Officially we are entering the state of "Aapko iss se kya Farak parta hai" Vs "Mujhe iss se koi Farak nahi parta" (What u care about it.No I don't care about it.) The most lovable ,huggable , historic, distinguished ,illustrious , decisive , crucial , and the most celebrated period ever in IPK land.

Khushi and the solution of her distress is "Jalaibis".So She is making loads of them , means she is Maha upset.

She is busy making Jalaibis while remembering moments of her insults from ASR.(From fashion show till guest house)

Why "Jalaibies ".Such a tedious job to make them.Make a batter,let it settle down for a while and then put it in a thin sheet of cloth and then make Jalaibies of different shapes and sizes in the oil to fry and even then you cannot eat them until you soak them in sugar syrup.What a thought behind it?👏

Jalaibies like thoughts of all kinds with full of emotions , made by liquid batter like shaky life full of storms , leave it to settle down like waiting and analyzing the storm to settle down to figure out what to do,fry them in different shapes and sizes like trying different methods at different times to tackle the storm big or small, then soak them in Sugar like Having HOPE these methods will be fruitful and some of them will be more sweeter than the others.Her HOPE system is DM as we know.This is exactly KHUSHI life , like JALAIBI.Brilliant makers.

[One thing is sure Khushi never accept defeat and goes all the way to get Sweet Jalaibis even in the way she has to eat Methi ki Sabzi (Bitter veges)]

Payal who grabs Khushi to make her Stop making Jalaibis.She is her support system.Such a cute and caring scene But it also shows how stubborn Khushi is when someone or something pushes her that far.

Shyam is the solution to tame this TIGRESS full of Jalaibis (instead of meat) Nice going Buaji.

About one thing he is right Khushiji,the more you make Jalaibis the more you get angry ,means the more you think the more you become upset.Mount Everest of Jalaibis.(I don't know why he never thought about that for himself ) ,mmm

Back to RM Anjali is getting upset with Chote for sending Khushi to guest house. She asks a million dollar question"Khushi neh aisa kia keya hai jo tum use itna pareshan kar rahe ho.Tumhain to kissi cheese se farak hani parta na. " ( Why are you bothering her what did she do to you, as it does not matter to you what others do or not.) Chote gets irritated, "Pata nahi kia keya hai".(Don't know what she did) Really you don't know or you don't want to know or accept it.He turns around.Pause here.Running from facing the reality Sir ASR.Uhhh

Anjali knows her Chote and The reason of the WALL of ASR around him.She wants to calm him down as Nani brought their cruel and disbelief past by which both of them are up set but they are besides each other all the time.Pause here Past must be dreadful which brought them too close too.She wants him to forget Past and move on but he is not ready even he is saying he has moved on apparently but his present is Stuck in his past.He has everything but nothing. "Agar purani yadon mein phasa hota to apni kismat par ro raha hota apni kismat khud yun bana nahi raha hota".(If I was stuck in the past and crying over Fate then I was not busy making my own destiny.) Pause here.Isn't Arnav still crying everyday inside the WALL of ASR.This is ASR who is getting this Driving force from Arnav to make destiny of him as well as others to beat him in this race. Arnav is still strong no matter how much ASR tried to crush him and abandon him that's what he is afraid of and Anjali is the one who is keeping and feeding this Arnav to grow stronger each day just by one force and that is LOVE for which ASR has no place in his life and he does not trust any one but himself and Di.Di is important for both,it means she is the one who also has contribution of creating ASR and making him stronger each day at the same time.What a complexity of a character and for bringing him out Standing ovation to Barun.👏 👏 👏👏

Wondering(Anjali was the most sensible and matured character in the beginning Idk why they made her dumb at the end)😕

Anjali made him realize of his wrong doing and he knows it .He has a Sacred Scar for eternity,how can he forget that? On other side,other elder sister makes realizing these Raizadas who are they dealing with and Buaji "Bhai kare behal and Behen Pooche Haal."(Brother does bad and sister tries to mend it.)Why Shyam's face is telling wrong time on his face after listening Anjali's name.Arggg seems he has GRUDGE against Raizadas but how his bad time is connected with all of them???????😕No more Jalaibis for you.😡

Nani has some special soft corner for Khushi.Mamiji likes La with small dress.(Inferiority complex).Naniji is not going to settle for less Anajli.Chote got his match.PURE FUN nah I don't think so its more than that.

Gupta house,Khushi can't sleep because of the incident and Rakshus contract but the moment Payal threatens her to leave the office other wise she will call Amma and Babuji.Khushi's Wall of Strength ,her Smile hides fearful Khushi in and cheers Payal out.😊

Buaji tells Babuji anyway along with Shyam's "achievements" towards Khushi.Buaji seriously Ahhh!!Babuji really loves Khushi which shows some relations are bigger and thicker than blood.Just love it.👏Buaji is not happy with her brother's decision to come to Delhi because of her financial conditions.Ahhh Shyam is happy for getting extra Jalaibis for his nice move.Arggg😡

On ther side in RM Arnav also had sleepless night.Aww!! Akash Bitwa now start counting for your bro's sleepless nights because someone is sharing him now or HE is sharing himself with someone now.Anyways Love these sleepless moments on both sides.😉

Dadi found a princess for a Knight.Ok No comments, Naniji needs to change the # of her glasses I think. 🤣 ASR is a man of action not words Naniji.He did try to make you understand but you did not pay attn.He made clear to you with respect that He does not want to get married.Pause here.I think it was Naniji's plan becoz these ppl were in RM so early and even Anjali had no clue.Akash's explanation to her by pointing finger was lovely though.Naiji wants to know her rival's strength and weakness so she can proceed with her next move with the BANG.Nice Naniji.No wonder why they call you"Chote" Mr ASR.She is your Nani got it.

She wants to see how far she came with every move she made to raise this Knight and which move took wrong turn so her next move can correct the past one.She has no problem with Traditions Vs Contemporary thoughts ,She has to see what balance he has in between these two. Arnav with respect ,"Aap hi nai sikhae hai keh kuch ghalat nahi karna aur har bara faisla insaan kokhud karna chahiye"To iss baat mein please aap meri baat maan lijieya"(You taught never do anything wrong and make big decisions by yourself then Please accept my opinion in this matter plz) Arnav never disrespect Nani or her decision but he wants the same in return.Nani is trapped in her words now becoz Chote is doing what he understood of it.[Pause here:Next move from Nani side is manipulation with emotions to hot the iron,planting seed of Khushi into Anajali's mind to bring her in and then Arnav is going to move acc to Nani's wish.Took time but that's how elders play with patience.Nani will get what she wants.[Connection:The game was smooth to fulfill her wish,a "Sanskari" daughter in law ,trained La or Khushi]

Payal comes and give Khushi her phone to call and resign from the job as she is seeing her get ready."Yeh sochana bhi mat Khushi"(Don't even think about it.)Everybody think the same.buaji reveals another mystery of scolding at Raizadas to Khushi and Khushi is reeling "Rakshus" words of contract.She does not want to be proved as a coward and runaway bride.But Payal,"Iss se kia Farak Parta hai log kia sochate hain,Hum Jante hain ke tum kaisi ho aur kia kia kar sakti ho"( I don't cae what ppl think we know what kind of person you are and how capable too)Shyam babu,"Humain to tub hi chain mile ga jab---" What and why on earth you will get relief from her leaving Job and yes you will take care of business in court but how the heck you will arrange money as you are paying guest himself.mmm😕 interesting.

Mamiji wants to bring her choice too because if she won't do that then there will be "emotional Attayachar"(Emotional blackmailing) but Mamaji and Akash think the other way around.Lets see how this game shape up.Love the small convo in between Anjali and Akash.Anjali have a point here.With "saf dili" (Pure heart) you can love and trust any one,poor or rich it does not matter.Anjali ,"my husband is not rich but he loves everyone and especially me." Awww I really want to see your hubby with lots of Jalaibis.Love the way she catches Akash's thinking about his LOVE.Very sweet Di.😊

GH Khushi declared her resignation from the job by keeping her chin up."Hum us Arnav Singh Raizada ko bata ke rahain gey keh hamain us ke Contract ki Dhamki se dar nahi lagata"(I want to tell ASR that I don't care and not afraid about his contract any more)I did job in his office with pride and I'll leave with pride too. DM is happy and all set for the next round of the game.👏

Arshi, such a pleasure reading your take on episodes 30 and 31! Every in the green is just awesome and red is funny! Yeah, the game of chess is indeed ON! Your reference to Jalaibies is fabulous! The process of making Jalaibies is tedious, complex and need a lot of attention and patience! I think Jalaibies represent ASR/Arnav! He's full of complexity but yet with a lot of care, attention and patience the reward can be just as sweet and more! 😉 Khushi always crave for Jalaibies/Arnav! 😆 Your discussion of ASR/Arnav inner struggles is spot on! I chuckled at the part where you called our hottie an "idiot". I agree he could be a real jerk but I always find myself forgiving him after knowing how much pain and regrets he suffer later. The Vow

Scene opens in Nani's room with Anjali in deep discussion about Nani's concern for Chote. Nani is upset that he is going to ruin his life, just like his father. She feels his past will destroy his future by walking in his father's footsteps and he doesn't even know it. She is concerned of how he took his wrath out on Kushi. She asks Anjali have you spoken to him and she answers with yes but he doesn't want to listen to her attempts at trying to make him understand. She lets Nani know in her sweet, but firm adorable way, that she has complete faith and trust in Chote's decisions since it is his life and his choice. She always has, they have made a Vow to each other since they were young. Nani Vows that Lavanya Kashyup will NOT be a bahu in this house.

In th GH Buaji is checking the table for lunch and is looking for the roti. She sends Kushi in to the kitchen to get it from Shyam who is playing chef again. I believe Buaji has an underlying motive here, always pushing Kushi towards Shyam. Kushi enters the kitchen and Shyam is on the phone having a very familiar conversation. He sees Kushi and abruptly ends the conversation with I have to go and hangs up staring at Kushi who appears lost. He explains he was on the phone with a client and she snaps out of it with"what?" She wasn't paying attention. She really never does. He hands her the roti.

RM- Everyone is standing around the dining table but Nani. Mami says Nani is on a hunger strike. They all run to her room with Arnav leading the pack.

GH- Shyam is still talking with Kushi as they are clearing the lunch table and he tells her I made all those snacks and you are still upset. She says it is nothing. He continues with that a lot has happened and I am sorry about praising Delhi and Kushi interjects with, "you can't dislike a city because of its people." They reach for the same platter, she lets go and he continues with you have to move forward, God made eyes in the front of our head so we look forward, we forget the past and we don't go backwards. (I think he may be talking about himself here). She says she wanted the job and he says, "So you made a mistake." "You have to live your life the way you want. Do whatever you want and always listen to your heart." Sometimes I don't know who Shyam is talking to, himself or Kushi. It seems he is taking his own VOW.

Nani's room at the RM. Arnav walks in to Nani's room and she looks away, he knows what is the matter. He asks anyway, "are you okay?" Everyone encouraging her to come and eat and she adamantly refuses. ASR says," Nani you are being stubborn" She retorts, "No, You are! You ignore my advice and do what you want." He answers with "it is not like that". She wants to know if they all should only accept what he wants and ASR replies with an answer that is well thought out and respectful. "I do not force anyone. I said I have the right to live my life as I want because I don't tell anyone else how to live their lives. If you can do what you want then why can't I?" Nani answers, "What do you mean that I don't want to see you happy? "I did not, Nani, you did." She says that he is behaving like his father but its not his fault it is in his blood. He made a mistake and you are repeating it. Arnav says not to bring his father into this conversation. We can see ASR 's blood starting to boil. She continues with he did as he wanted and the whole family came apart. She Vows "I will not let that happen in my house!" And so it begins, Arnav says in a nut shell that he will leave Nani, the house and everyone. So both can live in peace. His sister says what are you saying? while Nani says where will you go'to her? Miss Kashyup? He answers with his back turned, "Yes. I will go to her. I am going to stay with her." During this dramatic scene ASR does not look at Nani during their conversations, he turns his back, almost as if he doesn't want to hear the truth or see it. We can see that he doesn't really want to go to Lavanya's because he loves her but to escape from the accusations of being like his father. He doesn't want to marry this girl, he doesn't want to take Vows with her, but he WILL leave his home to live with her without commitment and to live in peace for she doesn't pressure him. Maybe she doesn't make him FEEL.

GH- Shyam's in puppy love. He is constantly drooling, oh I mean staring, at Kushi. He takes the plates from her and says maybe your worries will go away but no tears. So he leaves to take the dishes in to the kitchen. Kushi continues to clean up when Shyam's phone rings'Kushi calls him..."Shyamji'.Shyamji'" No answer. She looks at the phone and it says Rani Sahiba is calling. She picks up the phone in her hand and suddenly it is snatched away by Shyam. He answers his phone, makes it a quick call and hangs up. She asks him about a relation with the Queen and he says he takes care of her legal issues.

In ASR room. He is angry, fuming hearing Nani's words in his head about his father. He shoves his clothes in an overnight bag while seeing a past memory. Something terrible happened in his life that he just doesn't want to face. He picks up the bag and walks out the door only to be stopped by his "older" sister. She says come with me'"Di"'she is not saying it twice'she laid down the rules. She is his elder and he WILL listen. She brings him to Nani. She looks, sees he is already packed and asks,"does this means he is leaving and before he makes his mistake he wants my blessings?" ASR says he doesn't expect any from her because she thinks he is wrong. She certainly does! He again looks away from her, his eyes not making contact with her, "I will never live in a house where I don't have the freedom to live my life." "Bas/ Enough." says Nani. "Are you forgetting who you are speaking to?" He looks into her eyes, "I am sorry, but I think you have forgotten that the person you are talking to and want to make decisions for, is already an adult." Anjali interrupts the two. Enough! With tears in her eyes she begs them to stop. It is Teej holiday tomorrow, her husband is coming home, and can they please postpone this discussion until after the holiday. "Won't you stay?" Nani and Chote both look at each other, back and forth they silently acknowledge a truce for Anjali. He relents, "OK". She says Nani," I will bring you food". Nani relents, "OK."

Anjali is in their home temple and on the phone with her husband. He reassures her he will be home tomorrow. Arnav comes and sits in front of his sister. 'Are you still mad at me? " She answers yes but that it is better now that she spoke to her husband. He brought her juice which he already knows she can have. She is fasting for Teej and he has looked up the "rules". "Allowed", he tells her. She asks him if he works for her husband as a spy? He asked her if she had eaten. She says he loves her very much and she is so lucky to have him. She lights the lamp. She says you know of the circumstances of the marriage, how he accepted me. He always makes me happy but I always worry something may go wrong... Arnav stops her.

He makes THE VOW. "Di, I am with you. I promise I will never let any harm come to you in your life and as long as I am with you no evil can touch you. You are my world! I can overcome anything just to see you smile."

The wind blows... the lamp's flame flickers... the brother first, then the sister...

hands united... shield it's glowing light from extinguishing...

Shyam and his dialogues

So proper. So meaningful. Full of wisdom. Seeing these episodes without knowing the future makes one think, nice guy. a gentelman but khushi will not be his :)

The scene with ASR and nani. Very well shot. A confrontation between a young hot blood with that of a seasoned lady yet with the same hot blood !! naraaz nani hai bhook harthal par. In between mami's comment "iss umar me dieting ?" ha ha hha :) Loved mami's comments ;)

ASR's dialogue .. repeat of shyam's dialogue "mein apne zindagi apne marzi se jina chahtha hu"

Here ASR's retort to nani was that he will go and live with la. It was a decision made as a retort to nani's outburst. Not intended nor desired by ASR but forced as a means of holding up against nani.

Shyam's attraction towards khushi was apparent. I don't think I will call it love. Rather an attraction which evolved into a want full of desire for a attractive girl.

di's attempt to postpone the confrontation by giving teez as an excuse. Who can say no to the daughter of the house, a ladli gdaughter to nani and a brother's lifeline.

di to chote "thume maalum hai na chote, inhone hame kis halaath me apnaaya hai" But sadly we were never shown what these halaath's were :))

These episodes covered everyone one . showed different relationships. nani - grandchildren, shyam - khushi, mami and her family.
