Rishabala OS- Second Chances
"I hate you. I hate you RK." These words, these exact words kept playing like a broken record in his ears, continuously as he stood there, at the exact spot when she had spat those words right across his face. He had come home to tell her that after what had happened between them, she was right. He misunderstood his mother. He had come home to tell her that, he had finally patched with his mother. The same mother who he had insulted for the last 15 years of his life, knowing that she had remarried, not once knowing that why had she done that. It was Madhu who finally made him realize why his mother had to take such a drastic step, so he could have a family, a father and his love.
He crushed onto the ground not knowing what to do, after how he had hurted Madhu. He was still dumbfounded at the fact that, even after so many insults, she had stayed on. She had bared his every insult, every tantrum and his every freaking blame, as she believed in this marriage. She believed in him and no matter what, she wouldn't dare speak against him, even at his back.
He had heard her entire conversation with Dipali, and that's when it struck him, that as much as he had got involved in her and their newfound love, she was in it too. She had trusted him, despite knowing his trust issues, had given him everything knowing his habits and accepted the way he was despite his painful past. She had made his life beautiful. She had filled it with colors and balloons and their love. She had done everything for him, not wanting anything in return. All she ever wanted was my respect, my trust and my love.
He remembered that it didn't matter to her that he tested her love, it mattered to her that he let her down. He let her down so he could prove it to the woman he detested the most. It killed her and pierced her heart like flaming arrows, when she knew she couldn't prove to him even after so many incidents that she loved me.
He entered the room, opening her cupboard, he took her dupatta out. He held it in his hand, it was the same piece, which she had tied to his palm it was bleeding. He had kept it till date. He took it infront of him and cried out his heart out. He collapsed to the ground, with her dupatta near his heart. "I am sorry Madhu". These were his last words before he slumped to the floor.
And seeing him like this, I had decided to give him another chance, as I always give people whom I love. I decided to give our Love another Chance. It was another chance for Rishabh and Madhu, and that's why I believe in second chances, she proudly told her 3 year old daughter, Malvika.
Life is all about Second Chances!
The End!
Love,
Mayu
