Madhuri celebrates Sankranti in a traditional way

Makar Sankranti is regarded as the commencement of an auspicious phase in Indian culture. It's a big festival for Maharashtrians.

Madhuri Dixit Nene will celebrate the festival in true traditional style today with her family. Like all Maharashtrians, she too plans to make til gul and gul poli, a delicacy made especially for Sankrant in every Marathi household.

She will be wearing a black sari, considered auspicious on this occasion and also plans to spend a part of the day flying kites with her two sons.

She learnt kite-flying as a kid along with her siblings and even introduced it to her kids last year.
