nice post...

first of all why G** and not GAY???? why to be ashamed of something that really exist in the society...??
being a gay does not alter your personality as a human.
a gay person can be equally successful, hardworking, kind.
sometimes you can not spot them unless and until told as they seem as 'normal' as we all are..

some one is called gay cause that is their preference in life and i think anyone should not have any problems with that...
on the contrary i feel that they should acknowledge the fact that they are different on in their choices..and they should make it clear to the world around them...

in india there are so many homosexual people arent coming out in broad daylight cause they are ashamed of themselves...and when it comes to marriage, they end up doing it with someone they dont relate with...
then this matter becomes too serious as the other partner's dreams and expectations are at stake too....

so according to me they should come out in open and should not conceal themselves within 4 walls of their house...they should be proud of what they are...
they are like us....normal human beings and not aliens..

i hope i havent offended anyone...

I think it is matter of personal choice. If someone is Gay society should accept him/her as they are. I agree with Abhijit most of the points accept for Gay marriages, however it is just me. In countries like India and most countries like Abhijit said between India and Israel do not accept being Gay. People still hide the fact of their being Gay/Lesbian and it is still discussed with Stigma. Now in US we call it open society there are still lot of conservative that does not accept Gay relationship and if some is Gay in community is it a topic to discuss. I think after a decade or two I am sure being Gay/Lesbian will be treated as normal and acceptable like Widow remarriage is treated in India now. It's just a time and is something new that will take some time of acceptance in society.

I'm too small to understand this type of things!!!! I really don't understand what on earth makes people go against laws of nature,Vinashakale vipritbhuddhi!!!! They need good psychological treatment.

Chi!!! Now a days its really doubtful to see two people of same gender moving together!!! Shobha De went to great extent saying Jai and veeru in Sholay are gays, seeing gays, lesbians and people supporting them I really feel they should become old soon and then they will know what life is!!!!! I really felt awkward seeing the news about 1000 gay, lesbians getting married in Windsor plaza,London last year.Added to these they need special privilages😔

My views may be very immature but I stick to my views.

Mythili

hey mythili

i respect your opinions....

but at the same time i feel we should be able to see an individual beyond their sexual personality.

i am totally against it if they seek special privilages for being homosexual.

if they want society to treat them equally then it has to be in every aspect and should not be called for any favors...

you can not despice them for being gay... and it is not abnormal at all as you have put it up

one of my friends is clinical psychiatrist and as he says that they do not go against the law of nature.....in a gay pair, one partner have active role who is considered the man...and the one with feminine traits and passive role as the woman...so even if physically they have same gender mentaly they are different than the rest.

many times we have to take in account the past of such people..as people who faced sexual abuse in their childhood tend to turn in this way as they start hating people of opposite sex. can you really blame them in such situations????

and finally no amount of psychological treatment can 'cure' them as it is not a disease.

When I see people driving gas guzzling cars, and running them in idle...that is when I say: vinashkale viparinbuddhi.

That gives a whole new meaning to many of the dialogues. I will have to watch Sholey again and interpete all the dialogues with the pretext of the the two being gay. I could quote some here but will spare people's decency.

Someone please warn Basanti!!!

i was thinking the same....may be ram gopal verma can show them as gays in his remakešŸ˜†
