If you guys are thinking that I am obsessed with the sibling bonds in this show, you're jolly well right! If Asad-Nikhat tugged my heart on Thursday, Asad-Ayaan brought a lump in my throat today. I see people rightly wondering about how these half-siblings are so close when their families have nothing to do with each other, yet when I see their close-knit relationship, I forget all the 'why's and 'how's as I am simply left awestruck by how much they can love each other and how they crave to be with each other. I admire and have admired a lot of sibling relationships in various shows but this is one of those rare times when their bonds have actually become THE SHOW for me (the only other being Stefan-Damon in The Vampire Diaries which I sadly don't follow any longer).

We were all disappointed that Ayaan didn't speak up on Friday but he more than made up for it today. I LOVED him today when he lashed out to Mamujaan and bashed Rashid left, right and centre. I could feel how his patience and endurance has snapped. And a detail not to be missed is that his outburst is because Mamujaan had threatened to destroy his brother, the person who was there for him when no one else was, the person who saved him before anyone else could even figure out that he is in trouble. I don't advocate talking to elders the way he did but truth is, he can never respect his parents and others the way he looks up to and idolises his brother because they never made him feel loved and wanted. He was always treated as this irresponsible, spoilt brat who is good-for-nothing. Asad adds meaning to his life (Rishab Sinha might not be the best actor around but today his performance was very heartfelt, his best yet).

And Asad isn't far behind, is he? He's probably never ever argued his Ammi so openly but his life depends on his siblings. If his heart is torn out of his chest, we can't expect him not to react. He loves and respects Dilshad a hell lot but he is literally being asked to stop breathing, how can he be okay with that? (On a side-note, Mamujaan has touched Dilshad's raw nerve. If she wasn't already earlier, she will now definitely oppose Asad's soft corner for his half-siblings).

The last intersection of scenes was hitting as Dilshad and Shirin ask their respective sons to choose one out of them or each other. How will they ever get out of this?😳

P.S. If these two agree to their parents, it can also be for Nikhat's sake. They can't care less for what anyone says about them but if I have deciphered them correctly, they will never do anything at the cost of their sister.

I love your posts. I LOVE them. And how right you are! I LOVE the sibling bond. I LOVE IT. Ayaan's speech today made me CLAP and cheer and cry. I LOVE them. I loved the way Ayaan finally said everything that I've ever wanted him to. And why shouldn't he have?

I can't begin to write everything you did and analyse it at the moment, but you've pretty much said everything I wanted to anyway, so I REALLY don't have anything more to say anyway! 😆

Kudos!

First of all loved loved the way you have described the episode and their bond <3 Sibling bonds and the beauty with which they are potrayed is definitely the highlight of QH so far. They really strike a chord with you and you cant help but feel their yearning and love for each other despite the family differences.Ayaan's dialogues were bang on today and the whole confrontation scene was executed perfectly. He was tired of seeing his father standing like a statue when the person he love the most in this world and his family is being degraded beyond his tolerance. There's only so much a person can take and Ayaan lost it today. It was heartwarming to hear him say all those things about his bhaai, the person who believed in him and stood for him when noone else did.Rishabh did his part very nicely today,we could feel Ayaan's frustration.
Asad who obeys to almost anything his ammi says blindly asked her for a reasoning for the first time today. He's going to be heartbroken as he is asked to choose b/w the two most important people in his life.We have seen how madly he reacted when Ayaan was hurt, his love for his bhai is really on an entirely different level. This is going to be hard for the brothers and the true test of their bonding. They have to give in now, for the sake of their sister but eventually their bond is too strong to be destroyed by any of these hurdles.

One of the best episodes of QH till now.Cant wait to see more of Asad's side of story and how they get through this.I somehow have a feeling that Nikhat gonna play a role in this,as she understands her brothers's dilemma and how much they mean to each other.

I completely agree with you. Though a lot of shows have explored the sibling's relationship but no one else has been successful in touching my heart to this extent. There is something so endearing about Asad's relationship with his siblings. I loved Ayaan today for standing up for Asad and i loved how Asad who considers his mother's words as "Pathar ki lakid" couldnt help but question her judgement.

Looking forward to Asad-Nikkhat's scene in the office.

Aww, thank you soo much, Raina!
Kudos to the dialogue writer, I myself loved those dialogues and the actor did justice to them as well. Ayaan isn't the most patient person in the show and there is a limit to how much he can take. Today, that limit was crossed so yeh toh hona hee tha.
Thanks again for your lovely comment!

Thank you, Aparna.
I totally second you on your thoughts. I, too, feel this was one of the best episodes of the entire show because for the first time we saw the two brothers openly opposing their families for each other. So far we've seen their love. Now, it's time to test that love. Should be an interesting watch!

Thanks, hun!
Asad-Ayaan are going to become even more interesting to watch as this conflict will add new dimensions to their yearning and love.

Thanks for the link to the spoiler. The pic brought a huge smile to my face!
