Thanks so much 😛

I try not to get involved in any debates - most of the posts I read are analysis of sorts. There really is no reason to debate, in my opinion, over Ra or Ya. They love each other. The characters were MADE to complement each other, and they do. They understand each other w/o words, w/o even being in front of each other. Ram married the woman he holds responsible for Priya's jail sentence because he KNEW what Priya would want. And she WOULD want it. Priya agreed to play the divorce drama because she TRUSTED that Ram would never believe it, and he didn't. Ram agreed to divorce her because he TRUSTED that she loved him and was playing a game for some reason and TRUSTED she was doing it for the both of them.

So, love like that can just not have a her or a him. It's a them. It's one body. So if a part of the body hurts, the other parts don't start complaining 'you're hurting, so you're hurting the rest of us', do they? The entire body starts working to get rid of the problem. If you have an infection in a finger, eventually, if it doesn't go away, the body increases it's temperature to get rid fo the infection. Just like that, RaYa, work as one body. I know, very very weird analogy, but that's the only one that woudl come to mind now, on a empty stomach w/o breakfast :).

About the journey - I too hope it's a slow and beautiful one. They deserve it. Ram and Priya deserve it, and Ram and Saakshi sooo can deliver it. I hope the CVs capitalize on it and give us yet another 'I love you' to remember for years to come.

Thanks so much for your comment!

It sure was a beautiful touch! And I just LOVED when and how he told Priya about it - like it was their little secret, their special moment, their sacred thing - and I was almost transported back to the day it all started - their love and mutual acceptance of each other as hubby-wife. As if these last 5 years didn't even take place.

Love 'em both.

Very true, it is about her. But sometimes we have to look at the bigger picture, and sacrifice the smaller, more closer things, for the end that's farther away. In this case, Pihu's pain, as great as that maybe, is still smaller compared to a lifetime of alienation from one parent. So, while Ram doesn't realize Pihu is in pain, he's just doing what he thinks is right - which is to make sure his daughter is in his time, full time. Now, the REASON for all of this is his LOVE for his daughter. And Ram isn't selfish, neither is his love, just like Priya's love isn't selfish.

So, when he does realize that his decision is hurting everyone, including himself BECAUSE he can't see his Pihu in pain (nor, for that matter, can he see Priya in pain, but we won't go there for now), he'll do something about that decision.

I hope I made sense. See, as parents, we want what's best for our children. A mother's love is never about a mother - it's always about the child. A father's love is more ... settled. It's about teh bigger picture. Call me gender biased, but I feel the two complement each other, not compliment. You need both for a child. Ram is seething from the pain he was unduly subjected to. You accept that, right? So he's acting out in anger - but never beyond or at the price of INTENTIONALLY hurting anyone (other than Priya right now). So, he is mad. yes, he's hurting Pihu, but he doesn't realize it. He will, or already has begun to. And he'll rectify - coz ego will not be a player in this man's world.

As for teh story - I think this needed to happen for both the parents to realize that Pihu needs both in her life, and we'll see soemthing positive, hopefully for a while before the next gut wrenching twist.

Hope that helped.

This isn't an episode analysis, per say. I never do any such analysis as a topic, but I just had to get my thoughts out this one time.

My God, I don't think I've seen a better performance on TV before! When Priya called Ram on teh phone, I felt like she was EVERY MOTHER personified in that scene. I totally worry like this when my son goes to my sister's house for a sleep over. I call late at night to have him checked ... I stay up the night worrying, so for the sake of my sanity, my husband has cancelled all sleep overs :) ...

In this case, it was forced. The gut wrenching, blood curling, heart stopping pain a mother feels at having to accept that your child will not be sleeping with you, is NOTHING. It's NOTHING, compared to the knowledge that your child is scared, somewhere, all alone. And THAT is what Priya is feeling. That mind numbing, endless dark pit filled with panic and pain, but worse of all, the helplessness. Of not being able to do anything about it.

As children, we believe our parents are all knowing, all seeing, and all protecting. As parents, we sort feel that way about our kids too. We're territorial, we yell, we discipline, we love, we protect. But WE do it all. Now, if that equation changes, if WE are not there ... well, who's protecting our children?

I remember, once, in a B&N store, I lost my 2 yr old for all about 5 minutes. I aged 20 years in those 5 minutes. I imagined ALL SORTS of scary and ridiculous things that could happen to him in those 5 minutes. Not because he wasn't with me, but because I didn't know if he was scared, or he knew where he was, or if he was hurt, etc. And THAT is what Priya is feeling. She doesn't know if Pihu is scared, well actually she does. She KNOWS she's scared. But if she doesn't know if her fear has been addressed. She doesn't know if someone is there to watch over her when she wakes up in the middle of the night. She doesn't know if she heard her bedtime story. She doesn't know if she was tucked in. She doesn't know, she just doesn't know ...

And Pihu - she doesn't know. She doesn't know why mommy isn't there. She doesn't know why she has to stay here. She doesn't know why all this sudden change. She just doesn't know.

And it's THAT knowledge, the knowledge that Pihu doesn't know, doesn't understand, that has Priya all the more scared. Am I making sense? Am I relating to, atleast, the mommy's out there? Or am I just rambling in an emotional state?

The last scene - My Lord! I have no words. When she chokes up on her tears, saying she KNOWS Pihu hasn't slept w/o her, she KNOWS she's used to hugging her to bed, she KNOWS Pihu isn't used to life w/o her ... All I have to say is - I don't think there was any fake tears in that scene - I don't think Sakshi would've needed them. I bet she cried during and after that scene was real. I'd love to see the SBS or making of that scene.

This woman - she's magic. The flabbergasted Ram, that was another plus. Poor guy didn't know what to do, or how to do it even if he knew what to do :). Loved it. A very genuine reaction for an estranged hubby. I know many wanted to see the hug - I say ... keep it at bay for now. Builds are anticipation. It'll come, in due time. And it'll be all the more coveted and cherished due to the wait. But Ram's attempts at consolation weren't gone unnoticed. He did want to do SOMETHING to make the situation better. Just didn't know what. He's not doing this out of spite - he truly wanted his daughter. Just not at the price it came with. Which he's slowly, but surely, realizing. What's helping is Priya not acting all witchy, or fighting him. She didn't say 'I can't live w/o her', or 'I came to see if she's okay coz I couldn't sleep'. She said 'Pihu may be scared', or 'here're her friends who'll keep her company at night', or 'I'm giving you my life, take care of her'. There was no taking back, or whining, in any of her attitude or dialogue.

And THAT is the Priya I fell in love with. THAT is the Priya Ram fell in love with. And is STILL in love with, as she knows very well. He just hasn't gotten over his anger just yet.

Okay, I can go on and on some more but I"ll end this here. Just had to write this up. Let me know what you guys think. It's not much of an episode analysis, just ramblings.

Love,
-S

Spoken from a true mother's heart. I cried when I watched that episode inspite of knowing fully well that it is just a story, a figment of someones imagination, just as we imagine and write a whole bunch of stories on this forum. But that night, it was not Sakshi that we saw on the screen, but Priya Ram Kapoor shedding tears, not because she was missing her daughter who has been her support system, and her life line all these years, but because of the uncomfortable feeling she had that somewhere, somehow in the darkness of the night her daughter was scared and alone. Only a mother can understand this feeling and you have put it down very beautifully.
After that stellar performance that night, my respect for Sakshi as an actress rose from the already high pedestal that she is in my eyes!

Very Nice Post very nicely written ... being a mother i can also relate to the expressions were superb a mother can react the same way as she does ... 10/10 for her ... the way Priya is handling the situation was very well written ... she knows why her husband is reacting like this and she knows how to handle the situation ... Ram is Angry + he is in Pain that he is now married and how can he bring back her beloved wife as he himself know that she'll definitely think about her sister even though she's the one who spoiled her life . I feel more of Pain now a days then anger , i guess few episodes back he mentioned this also to someone .
