i think so too...i think this whole drama was ochestrated by mahen to get shiv to marry gauri....he wanted for some reason that gauri be his daughter in law, but knows that shiv would never have agreed, but now it has happened....

i think its mahen as well but it could be Shiv as well, coz he doesnt wanna loose property. If gauri comes to know what acutally happened she might break the relationship, which i doubt 😕
It could be Mahen as well as he doesnt want Gauri to know why she is married to Shiv
