Ayaan: Selectively intelligent

Ayaan gave some very logical and true advice to Asad today. A girl's excessive interest in his activities suggests that she has feelings for him.


Why can he not see it with Humaira? Character inconsistency or is he just playing dumb for convenience sake?

Maybe for Ayaan the attention that he gets from Humera has always been there, that's why he doesn't notice it. But of course when she went for a date supposedly with him, that should have alerted him.

but the thing is Ayaan is not serious about any girl

It's ok that he does not want to get serious with anyone. That is his choice. But why was he playing dumb while asking Humaira why she wanted to go on a date with him?

I do agree though that the fact that they have grown up together might make him less sensitive to her advances/intentions.

I think Ayan knows Humera likes him. He wasn't playing dumb when he asked her that, he was teasing her.

The problem is Ayan doesn't feel the same. He's not serious at all and isn't looking for a relationship. Also the problem is Humera won't tell him... why can't she be vocal about it?
I think the revelation of his engagement to her will provide a shock for him and a heartbreak for her. It might open his eyes to actually acknowledge what Humera feels for him, possibly prompting him to have a talk with her about why he can't marry her. It'll be interesting to see what happens with their equation.

True, I guess he is aware of Humeira's feeling but not ready to acknowledge that.

I've been thinking the same thing for ages, he just acts blind, but what irritates me the most is that he still leads her on! It's fair enough if he's not interested but then stop constantly flirting with her because that's just giving her the wrong signals, IF he IS aware that she is interested then he needs to stop flirting in order to compensate for her feelings, that's the least he can do.
