No it doesn't happen to every celebrity. How many times you see media bring up Aamir's Jessica Hines controversy or issues with his father/brother or the blog, NBA controversies? Maybe they made a big deal of it earlier but now no one talks. Whereas Salman's 20 year old controversies are also dug out and reported!

SRK himself admitted he'd beaten a waiter at Subhash Ghai's party and threatened a journalist in 90s. But who discusses it repeatedly? I only see his brawl with Salman being discussed.

Amitabh has this whole brigade of scandals from Watergate, accusation in inciting the mob in 1984 riots, Rekha affair, accusations by Parveen Babi against him, several flops, financial disasters in business - but it is ignored or he is either called a hero who weathered this all.

Some stars do get off easily. While some others have media whipping their butts all the time!

That's a news to me, So SRK Fans talk so much high about this guy & he does these kinds of things 😲 😆

Are you seriously comparing a slap incident or an affair with something as brutal as murder, domestic violence, killing endangered species? Of course the latter would be paid more attention to. Did SRK or Aamir or Amitabh ever go to jail? No. Salman did. To see someone who was adored by millions suddenly committing those crimes was quite a shocker and hence it was highlighted.

Also, had SRK or any other star committed the same crimes that Salman did, they would have been met with the same fate.

Haha.. why dig so much into the past? He was recently in news for his indecent behaviour with Shirish Kunder and also at the Wankhade stadium.

Check out SRK's profile on Bollywhat.com. It has quotes from the man himself from 90s interviews. Even recently he gave a speech in which he admitted he had once gone to jail for going to a journalist's house and threatening him (or was it her?).

Every star has controversies - some true, some rumoured. But some stars' controversies are hidden away and others' are repeatedly brought up.

I just made general comment on stars. For me a bad thing is a bad thing. Something being a lesser evil doesn't make it good or forgivable.

So what if Aamir or Amitabh didn't go to jail? That erases controversies?

Never did I say a lesser evil is good or forgivable.

What I said is completely different. 1) SRK wasn't a very big star when he went to jail or at least the media in those days was not this big. 2) Aamir or Amitabh not going to jail doesn't erase any controversies either.. when did I say that? I just said that the intensity of the allegations was different. Something like murder and domestic abuse is much more eye-grabbing than something like an affair which is synonymous with almost every celebrity. Hence people like Salman, Shiney etc and their cases were highlighted. Simple as that.
