@ all, excellent analysis as usual!

Shri,

I would like to ask you a question regarding your customs and traditions. The issue is related to the wedding of Malik and Padmini. What is the procedure for a second wedding? Do they need special permission to be married in the temple again?
Why do I ask? in our country, by law, is to be married first in the municipality, and if we want to get married in a church we need to bring proof that we were married in the municipality. I wonder if it is necessary to Padmini divorce in court and in the temple?

I'll give you my example: For my first husband I got married in the municipality and in the church. I divorced him in court, and not in the church (I was lazy to apply for a divorce, because I was told it is a process that takes a long time) because I had no intention for the second time to get married in church. In the meantime, I got married for the second time. So I'm now married to the first man in the church, and the law considers me married to another man (me too 😊).

Zorica,

That's quite an interesting states you are in !!! 😆 Don't you feel like resolving it ?

Fortunately, Indian law allows Padmini to get divorced and remarried under the unified edicts of religion and state laws. In her case. the Hindu Act of Marriage will apply.
