Hi ymlh,

Anand was stuck in a curfew once when he was in Delhi and ended up in the police station. Ratna is Piya's cousin who happened to be there and bailed him out and Anand spent the night at her place. The attraction stuck so he kept coming back to meet her. You can read the entire story from the first episode at this link
