Who's my favourite TV actor? Hmmm...

Rakshanda Khan says she loves almost the entire cast of Jassi... Here's what some of our TV stars have to say about their colleagues

GITA HARI

All of us, as viewers, root for our favourite actors on television. But did you know that your favourite small screen actor has his or her own favourite?
Generally, rivalry and egoism make it rather difficult to find one actor recognising the calibre of another. But here we have some well-known TV stars admitting and acknowledging the talent of others whom they consider to be good artistes.
Moulli Ganguly, who made her character Shaina Sikand in Star
Plus' Kahin Kissi Roz memorable says, "I consider Pankaj Kapur to be brilliant, as he is one of the very few actors in the true sense of the word in our television industry. His Karamchand act and now as Mussadilal in Office Office, which are contrasting characters, are roles not every person can do justice to. The key to good acting lies in underplaying and not overacting."
Narayani Shastri finds Star Plus' Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki's Parvati to be her role model. "Saakshi Tanwar is one actor who puts herself in every scene she enacts. "As it is difficult to play a dumbo, I feel Supriya Pathak was mind blowing in Kichdi... and the comic timing was perfect." Among male actors, she finds veteran actor Vikram Gokhale to be superb and of course, does not leave out her beau Gaurav Chopra either, "who can be comfortable in any role he portrays."
For hunk Chetan Hansraj, who does not miss to watch his serial Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki, it has to be the quiet and reticent Kiran Karmarkar who has immortalised the character Om, "Because he takes the scene to another level altogether and Saakshi Tanwar, who emotes effortlessly. Both of them are incredible actors from whom we can learn quite a lot," affirms Chetan.
The gorgeous Rakshanda Khan has not one but almost the entire cast of Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin as her favourites. According to her, playing a role well, which is in total contrast to your persona, is good acting and in keeping with that. "For me, it's Apurva Agnihotri who is anyone but Armaan because he is easygoing, soft spoken, always smiling and sweet natured in real life." She also finds, "Maninee De, who is intelligent and erudite and a natural actor or else how could she have essayed a dumb bimbette so convincingly? I loved Gaurav Ghera in all his weird get-ups and oiled hairstyle, Rajesh Khera, who played Maddy, is a powerhouse of talent and Vinay Jain aka Aryan was so menacing as a villain without being loud or vociferous." But her most favourite actor who, till date has not got his due is, "Parmeet Sethi, whose talent has not been exploited. He would be fantastic in a full blown comedy," feels Rakshanda.
Is it Agnihotri rooting for another Agnihotri when Rati says, "I love Apurva since the time I used to occasionally catch up on Jassi... He is a gentle person who has enacted a totally contrasting character quite convincingly and now again he is in Kaajal as an angry young man where I play his mother." Among female leads, she likes Mona Singh "for she had no qualms in taking up such a deglamourised
role."
There are some who do not wish to concede or conform to the norm. Mannish K Goyal takes the cake when he avers, "there are a few good actors but my idolism is from Hollywood or Bollywood and definitely not Tellywood."
