They have quite a bit of age difference. Surendra Hirnandani is closer to 60 and she is in her mid 40's.

He owns the Hirnandani group... They are very well known builders in Mumbai.

3-4 years back his wife left him to marry a family friend. Around the same time his daughter got married. The Hirnandanis were upset with the wife because she got married before the daughter and did not wait till the daughter got married. Thats why they did not invite her to the daughter's wedding...

Alka and Surendra have been dating for the past couple years. She has a daughter from her earlier marriage.

I heard Akshay is Hindu, Hirnandani surname seems Sindhi. Why did the wedding take place in a Gurudwara then?
