The choice of films selected by the Gen-X issuggesting so, with Ranbir opting to do "Besharam" with Abhinav Kashyap andImran choosing Milan Luthria's next – "Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai 2". Imran iscurrently working with Vishal Bharadwaj in "Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola" wherehe is seen in a role which he has never played before.

Shahid Kapoor on theother hand has Prabhudeva's "Namak" and Rajkumar Santoshi's "Phata Poster NiklaHero" up his sleeve.

Overall trend suggestingthat now these youngsters have thought of wooing the masses after carving aniche for themselves. Though Ranbir got a surprise entry in 100 Cr club withoff-beat "Barfi!", others are not able to break even 75 cr mark.

It is clearly seen thatthese actors of the Gen-X are following the footsteps of the great KHANS OFBOLLYWOOD and are trying to woo the audience of single screen theatres along withwith their regular multiplexes' audience.

Let's see theseunpretentious and practical roles gain them more followers or not. We are onlyhere to wait and watch !!!

Ranbir challenges Top-6; gets holiday release with Besharam

Bring your film on a holiday, flood the market with thousands of prints, hype it up like an event and crush any competition whatsoever - That's the mantra that Bollywood has followed for last half a decade at least, what with first Diwali, then Christmas followed by Eid turning out to be much coveted spots. While Khans along with other three superstars, Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn and Hrithik Roshan have almost patented their arrival on festive occasions, announcement of Ranbir'sBesharam for Gandhi Jayanti has ended up making a definite statement.

"With one quick stroke, Ranbir has announced his arrival in the big league. He is now very close to the Top-6 and it is a matter of time that he makes an entry there. The confidence shown by industry to allow him a much cherished release spot is a clear indication of that", says a source.

While October 2 is an all-India holiday and gives Ranbir a great opportunity to make his mark on the very first day of his film' release, what makes it all further special is the fact that this date falls on a Wednesday, hence giving Ranbir and his Besharam the luxury of a 9 day weekend.

"Well, he has earned it", says a close associate, "If an offbeat film of his like Barfi! can release on a regular day and still do a business of over 100 crores, it is just right that an out and out commercial film of his likeBesharam gets its due standing. Also, let's not forget that this would also be Abhinav Kasyap's second film almost three years after Dabangg. It has to be special."

We do hope that turns out to be the case.

After 3 years, Abhinav Kashyap coming as Abhinav Singh Kashyap... so success of Dabangg gave this much confidence in makers that Shooting day 1 se hi Poster bana ke Hype generate kar diya ke yeh lo coming on a holiday with same massy kind of film...

Critics + Awards + Media praise = Advance mein hi book karlo, bina dekhe hi aa jayenge sab ke sab...

i am more interested in its 1st Day Business till lifetime business... Arbaaz ka career toh Salman ne Dabangg 1 se bhi jayda chamka diya as per Anurag's challenge... let's see now how much high his brother can go after Dabangg... All the best to this talented Director 👍🏼
