I remember discussing the same question with Ria, long back, and we agreed that while GC has done 3 very different role in form of Lord Ram, MSK and Yash Scindhiya yet we havent seen him in a light role so far. All these characters have had lot of past baggage attached with them...It is so rare to see him smile on screen.
So not negative,as he has done that in Mayavi and I have seen lot of shades of grey in MSK itself,which he carried with aplomb. This time I want his character to be completely light hearted,carefree and fun loving this time, which may turn intense and passionate as story progresses...If he is so expressive in a subtle role like Yash Scindiya,just imagine what wonders he can do if his character has a little flamboyance. And of course this would prove his versatility too, as he has done angry, subtle,grey, negative, passionate,subdues,subtle, but not flamboyant and fun loving.
