I agree that the court scene was not that great. But just analyzing Pankaj as a lawyer.
1) He is a lawyer but involved in his family business of event planning
2) That means he is a corporate/business lawyer looking after family's business interests.
3) he can therefore not be comfortable as a criminal lawyer, because that is what pari needed
4) He took this up because he is a family member and would have been more trustworthy and compassionate towards her.
So in that view, i can accept him needing his brothers support and not being perfect in a court trial for a criminal offense.
Are there any lawyers in this forum who can agree with this?
