Salman Khan floored Dubai at a glittering stage show titled Ahlan Bollywood, organised to mark the 41st UAE national day.
The Bollywood numerouno was expectedly the star of the show, which also featured Priyanka Chopra. Salman's coming together on stage with Priyanka at the show is widely being seen as a sign of confirmation of a patch-up between the two stars, who reportedly did not share very good vibes till a while ago.
So, even as Priyanka has been denying reports that she is set to star in a film with Salman soon, the Dubai show saw both stars in their elements.
Though the crowd clearly rooted for Salman- immensely popular as he is in West Asia and couldn't get enough of the star, the other performers at the show, including Priyanka, Zarine Khan and Sophie Choudry did their bits.
Starlet- singer Sophie, who also anchored the show, sang a medley of her musical numbers as the stage was set for Salman to take over. The superstar was at his best; he performed on some of his hit numbers and regaling the crowd with his trademark sense of humour.
Piggy Chops, meanwhile, did a medley of her hit songs from films such as Don and 7 Khoon Maaf, and also danced on Chikni Chameli, the highlight item number Katrina Kaif did in her film, Agneepath. The crowd would have clearly loved to see some more Priyanka moves, and her performance seemed a little short, given the hype the show had garnered.
The evening though belonged to Salman. He made a jazzy entry, jumping on to the stage from amid the crowd, striking a Dabangg pose with his dark glares firmly in place. He grooved to the title tracks of Dabangg and Bodyguard.
The front-row audience rushed close to the stage, trying to break the barricade while those seated behind screamed hysterically. He concluded the show by taking Sophie for a bike ride.
In the end, Salman and Priyanka jointly addressed the crowd and professed their love for Dubai. The buzz is both actors are planning to buy plush property in the country and have liked Palm Jumeirah, where incidentally, Shah Rukh Khan has a bungalow.**********************************
