Not true at all
Sufism is amazing it teaches us to be humanist.

Some people always talked bs like fourced convertion.
Ignore them.
Sufi's role in spread of islam in those country are historical fact.If someone want to deny we can't help.
Sufi people was very kind hearted and they love people.
Thats why many non muslim people also has respect for them.

Calling your husband/wife by name or not has nothing to do with religion.
Its a matter of personal choice.

Secondly it is dargah not durga.
Durga is a hindu godess.
And dargah are usally build on tomb of muslim sufi saint.
So pleas don't mix up two things.
It can lead confusion.
There has many school of thought of islam.
They have differ on many things.
Personally i think you can visit dargah to show your respect to sufi saint and can pray for their soule to allah.
But you should never pray for yourself in dargah.
You should ask anything from allah directly.
Going dargah/mazar/darbar is a cultural thing for muslims of indian sub continent.
Asha kari tumi qh bhalo kore enjoy korbe and onek kichu samparke janbe.

I thought that Durga was a Goddess - Apologies didn't mean to offend anyone :)
and yes at the Darbar it is to pray for the Pir/Saint as a way of respect
The best way to understand Islam is to read and understand the Qur'an yourself - one cannot think what if or question about it.

Furfura sharif is the most famous dargah for bengali muslim of west bengal.

I've been to both, they're really beautiful. One of them has these huge black fishes and you're meant buy these small bits of food and throw it to them to eat. I was fascinated.
