My take on the show so far (mainly about the cast)

Hey everyone, I hope it's cool that I opened up a topic, I was gonna post under Asma's review but the post got really long and I figured I should just make a topic out of it. I've been around I-F for a really long time but seeing the number of posts I have, anyone can tell I'm not always an active member. I just finished watching the 4th episode and a I thought I would like to share a few things with everyone.

I've gotta say if this show ever goes down it will be all thanks to the supporting cast. I've never witnessed such incompetence in a supporting cast before, barring a few (namely Rashid, Zoya's Bro in Law and KSG's Mom) the entire supporting cast comprises of people who believe in really loud expressions and heaving/sighing to move a scene forward. I know KSG is a great actor and Zoya so far hasn't irked me in anyway but everyone else besides the 3 actors I mentioned in the parenthesis are annoyingly superficial. Urdu is the most eloquent language that I know of, and these people are butchering it left right and centre. It's fine if you don't have the accent down, but I don't like how they think normal people speak Urdu. Hate to say but the CVs shouldve taken a good look at a few Pakistani dramas. Coming back to the supporting cast,,, I'm sorry but they are BAD! unbearable especially everyone in Ayaan's family including Ayaan. ANd what's the deal with Asad's sister? She makes an appearence, sighs for a bit and exits. I thought she would be slightly more upbeat like they showed in the promo? And what's wrong with the writers? When did Mamu jaan turn into Taya Abbu?(referring to Ayaan and his dad's scene) Taya is a dad's brother and Mamu is a mom's brother, unless they think it's cool for us to think that Rashid and Shirin are siblings, they should get the relations right, it's only the 4th episode, not the 40th.

Coming to the good points: I liked the conversation between Asad and Dilshad. Im beginning to think that maybe just MAYBE Asad didn't really need a sister... so far she's useless and I like the mother-son dynamic more than a forced third party. Without the sister the other two would've worked perfectly as a team. I also enjoyed Zoya's character development, so far the CVs have her part down. I don't know how many of you would agree with me but I really think this show needs a few solid supporting actors and I have a feeling the guy playing Ayaan's role will never grow on me ... along with Shirin and Asad's sister(yes it seems like I have a real problem with the poor girl lol)

In the end, like all my posts usually end in this forum, I would like to say I'm watching this show for KSG and I do plan to stick around for a while. And so far I really like the vibe of this forum so I maybe start posting a bit more. Hope no one get's offended by my views.

I agree, alot of the supporting cast isn't that well. I know KSG's dad is a really good actor, but why does it seem like he has the same expression on all the time?

i have to agree with the part says Rashid and Ayaan's acting is not up to the mark as it shuld be...their father son conversation was so important for the show to explain the story but ayaan's acting when it comes to emotions really disappointed me...even doh i really liked him doing all the flirty stuff with his cousin he was good at it bt the time emotional drama started...it just exposed his acting skills

anyways stick to the show for the sake of KSG and will be alwyas

waited for this one really really long <3

Hey:) nice post!! I agree with you on the supporting cast...I really didn't like shireen today, she totally ruined the "ayaan running away in anger" moment by screeching like that..urgh...and ayaan looked the least bit upset or angry while he was "scolding" his dad..like, wth? Best scene of the day was asad and Dilshaad..emotional, touching and moving...mainly coz of ksg :D
The only reason I'm going to stick to this show is KSG.ive been waiting for him to come back on tv for sooo long since dmg ended... Hopefully, they will improve over time like everyone else does...many are new anyway, so guess we'll have to wait...

I'm glad other people feel the same way about at least a few of the supporting cast members, but honestly, all that unnecessary wailing from Shirin in yesterday's episode was extrememly unbearable. I hate to say this but I wish someone starts putting up KSG scenes from QH on YT so I can watch those instead of the entire episodes.

agree, most of the cast delivers dialogues very loudly ,,,,and with a lot of hand gestures.
The scenes between Ayaan and his father was good written, and could have become very nice and emotional scene...but for me the actors kind of ruined it.
