You must have not seen the serial from the start , but Mahi was a gold digger from the start , Abhay and Kusums marriage broke up coz of Mahi .And Mahi was aware of the misunderstanding between them and fueled it further just so that she could marry a rich guy. And she just kept her connection to Kapoor house inspite of not being married and coz of Kali.Then she manipulated the whole thing with Kali to marry Abhay in 2004. I know, many people in the forum may disagree with my thoughts, but consider a girl/lady leaving all and has come to Kapoor family and stayed there for 20+ years.
