2012: Halloween Year for Bollywood?

It's the time of the year when the evil takes over and people have fun playing in horror... Boo! Its Halloween.

But as you take notice, this year B-town had been put on a spooky ride often. Compared to last year, big screens got to show more supernatural adventures - few managed to send down some thrills among audience while others turned out to be mere Halloween dramas at the box office.

Here are the filmy spirits that made into the 2012 list -

Ghost - Directed by Puja Jatinder Bedi, the movie starred Shiney Ahuja, Sayali Bhagat and Deepraj Rana. This 'Ghost' made news only because it was the first film of Shiney after he was accused in rape case and also for its ghastly gory scenes; something apparently never seen before in Hindi cinema. It even generated controversy for portraying a girl being crucified like Jesus.

?: A Question Mark - Helmed by Allyson Patel and Yash Dave, the promos and trailers of this thriller made good impression; however it didn't last much on the box office shelf.

Raaz 3 - With hot Bipasha Basu, serial kisser Emraan Hashmi and sexy Esha Gupta, the third sequel of Raaz series garnered much attention with its 3D factor.

Bhoot Returns - While earlier in 2003 'Bhoot' spooked everyone, its 'Return' in 2012 failed to thrill. Ram Gopal Verma managed to attract all with 3D effect with 'Bhoot Returns' but it didn't attract as much box office collection as the original.

1920 Evil Returns - Let's see if this Bhushan Patel's forthcoming project turns out to be saving grace in the entire horror list of 2012. Releasing on 2nd Nov, this Aftab Shivdasani-Tia Bajpai-Vidya Malvade starrer is considered to be quasi-sequel of 1920.
