"Khushi is an orphan. Her mother and father died in an accident when she was eight years old. Then, her aunt and uncle, Garima and Shashi adopted her. Since then, she lived with them. First, she lived in Lucknow but a year ago she was forced to move here to Delhi." Riya started taking notes of what Arnav was saying. "Why?" Arjun didn't want to miss any detail. "It was my fault. She accidentally got into my fashion show and ruined my show. I thought a rival had sent her She fell down from the ramp and I had caught her. Then, I gave all the footage of her in my arms to all the news channels. So, to escaped being given a bad name, she had to move here." Arnav looked slightly ashamed. Arjun looked at his face, amused. "Then what happened here?" Now it was Riya's turn to ask a question. "She came here and started working for me. Then, after quitting'" Riya was mentally laughing at how Khushi managed to end up working for the very man who had her leave her hometown and then, married him later. "Why did she quit?" Arjun, too, was holding in his laughter. "I sent her to work at a dangerous site. I don't know what would have happened if I hadn't come at the right time and saved her. Anyways, she quit. She, her adoptive sister Payal, and her buaji with whom she lives here, all opened a sweet shop for which they got only one order. It was for my Di and Shyam's anniversary." Arnav smiled slightly while remembering. Riya and Arjun looked at each other, in shock. "Then?" Riya was unsure if she even wanted to hear. "Then, she started training my ex-girlfriend Lavanya Kashyap at my house. My nani didn't like her western culture so my Di hired Khushi to work for us and make Lavanya. Then, when I decided to marry La, Khushi's work was over. Around that time Shashi uncle had gotten into a mysterious accident because of which he is now paralysed and Khushi had gotten engaged." Arnav started getting angry. "Then her sister Payal and my brother Akash were also going to get married. She started coming to our house again to help with wedding preparations. On the engagement day, I broke off my wedding because I didn't love La and I found out Khushi's fianc betrayed her and her wedding had broken off as well." Arnav looked like he was going to break the mug in his hands. Riya took it from him and kept it down. "Arnav, to be honest, it looks like Khushi's only enemy is you." Arjun felt mad looking at Riya comforting Arnav. "What the? I have wronged Khushi but we love each other. There is only one enemy and that is Shyam." Arnav got up from his chair in anger. "Shyam? Your brother in law?" Riya didn't like the guy but she was confused on how he could be involved. "Yes. He was Khushi's finace. He betrayed Khushi and Di. And me too. On the day of Akash and Payal's wedding I saw Shyam hugging Khushi. So I thought they were having an affair. When I asked him about it, he confirmed it. Then I found our Di was pregnant. I got really mad and to protect my Di from Shyam leaving her I forced Khushi to marry me for six months until Di had her baby, or else I would stop Akash and Payal's wedding. I didn't force her into anything physical but she had to do the contract marriage." Riya and Arjun were both wondering whether Shyam was worse or Arnav. "Then, Shyam got me kidnapped and got my will papers signed so that when he killed me, he would get all the property. But Khushi saved me and I realized that Shyam was just a cheater and the sole person behind all the problems." Riya and Arjun were just staring at Arnav. "I know I have done a lot wrong with Khushi. I have done and said a lot of things I shouldn't have. But one thing is the truth and that is that we love each other a lot. When I got home, I kicked Shyam out of the house and Khushi and I decided to get remarried. But during the rituals, Di lost her child. So, Khushi brought Shyam back into the house. But I could never trust Shyam. He betrayed my Di and is crazily after my Khushi." Arnav looked at Riya's mortified face and a tear came down his eye when he said "my Khushi". Arjun and Riya got up together and Arjun nodded when Riya looked at him. "Arnav you helped us a lot. Thank you." Riya smiled at Arnav as she and Arjun started to walk out. "Please take care of Khushi and tell her that I love her and miss her and that nothing is her fault so she should come back." Arjun and Riya looked back at the very weak ASR who was looking at the ground. "You never told us why Khushi left your house." Arjun looked unaffected by the emotional moment. "If Khushi wants to tell you, then ask her." Arnav turned right back into the rude and arrogant ASR. "Fine. And yes, we will tell Khushi." Arjun surprised both Arnav and Riya by the softness in his last statement.
