4shared.com is the only website I have ever managed to download anything - especially pdfs decently.. If you know any other site please do tell. And also I can't understand but I am unable to download pdfs on my cellphone - it's an anroid galaxy fit!

No idea on the cell-download part, but i often download pdf's mostly few M&B's through 4shared only,. If i get to know any, will let you know :)

I had downloaded a few M&Bs from 4shared and the last time I tried, they said that particular folder is no longer available!

If you would like to look for a particular author or title just tack it to the end of your search.

Google: -inurl:htm -inurl:html intitle:"index of" +("/ebooks"|"/book") +(chm|pdf|zip) +"o'reilly"

This uses the same idea but attempts to focus on directories that contain O'Reilly stuff. It's not perfect, but it's better than paying.

I have had an abominable reader's block for over a year now. Ever since I finished reading the Harry Potter series I could not get myself to read other books. I would stop reading midway. I have a pile of unfinished books in my kitty excepting a very enthusiastically read Percy Jackson series and very recently a book called 'Jaya - An Illustrated Retelling of the Mahabharata' that I finished in two days outta curiosity to read further. A few weeks ago, I reread 'The Last Song' from Nicholas Sparks for no good reason. Otherwise, a reader's block it is!
