Yeah, I was really shocked to see the doctor himself suggesting it. The CVs should research on these topics before showing a track like this, or else they make themselves seem ignorant. People aren't as stupid as they think and do know the medical procedures for some disorders unlike what they think.

Dont know anything about this, but this is really selfish on part of Mr Dubey. I have just heard about siblings being donar nothing like a child being donor for parents. I really dont want Ansh to donate is bone marrow.

Children can donate bone marrow but generally we do not use children for adults. For any stem cell transplant for adults, we collect stem cells from the donor. However for any adult needing bone marrow transplant certain number of stem cells need to be collected for transplant to be successful. Children can be used as donors under strict criteria. Usually it is only for siblings and extremely rarely under select situations can be used for adults but only if they are a full match. So a minor cannot be used to donate to a parent as they are only half match.

The American academy of pediatrics believes it is ethically permissible for minors to participate as donors if 5 criteria are fulfilled. The criteria are: (1) there is no medically equivalent histocompatible adult relative who is willing and able to donate;
(2) there is a strong personal and emotionally positive relationship between the donor and recipient;
(3) there is some likelihood that the recipient will benefit from transplantation;
(4) the clinical, emotional, and psychosocial risks to the donor are minimized and are reasonable in relation to the benefits expected to accrue to the donor and to the recipient; and
(5) parental permission and, where appropriate, child assent have been obtained.

In case of prashant, Ansh cannot be used as a donor because he is a minor and only half match. He will be less of a choice than even prashant's parents since all three are half match to prashant. Plus the main fact is that there has never been strong relationship between ansh and prashant. I do not know if India has any rules like that as in US but I am sure almost all cancer doctors in india will likely not consider Ansh for donor.

Also today Stem cell collection has become much more advanced than olden times. it is not just done in an OR under anesthesia but now can be done by a line placed in someone and collect it under the effect of certain injections

I hope this makes it easier

I Agree totally with you here in Europe also there are lots of rules applied and to be followed before such delicate operations are done,only and only for siblings bone marrow if needed will be considered otherwise no doctors here will call a little child for the parents. In PV the Doc himself said to bring Ansh ASAP.Mr Dubey is not thinking Ansh is merely a little boy.
why Cv's are not considering the points that there's are adult in this serial who are aware that Ansh is merely a baby.

@Delhigirl thanks for the info i am more worried about ansh past two days hence it is a very painful transplantation how could he bear it?
i think the CVs should deal this issue with some medical expert advice
even though its a daily soap but the concept of PV is unique so i expect their ideologies to be more real.

yes i would have hoped that these CVs had at least taken real medical advice rather than showing this in the name of drama.
Dubey is also a very selfish person who can even consider putting his own grandson in such an emotional stress. Also he always considered Aarti as his DIl because now he is not even bothered about her medical condition. And i have zero expectation from prashant for such understanding for his own son.
But what to say about the CVs, they have shown the most stupid melodrama

I have no idea...but going by pure logic, It will be harmful for Ansh

I feel Dubey is now becoming the new grey character in the show...His fatherly love is going to bring up new complications in the coming days
