Dhoom 2 picks up the story from where the original left, as a new breed of threat emerges, for India's super cop Jai Dixit (Abhishek Bachchan) to deal with. He once again enlists the assistance of his good-for-nothing compatriot (Uday Chopra). A sexy siren (Bipasha Basu) is signed up to the duo and together the three get ready to fight.
But who do they fight? What is this new threat? And who is this bad guy? On the other side of the city, a young love-crazed thief (Hrithik Roshan) gets weaved into something very sinister. He only has eyes for his girl (Aishwarya Rai), but she has eyes on something else.
Dhoom 2 is the sequel to Dhoom, which was appreciated by the masses, because of its unique sleek look. The original had fantastic stunts and an easy on the mind story, which helped it achieve huge box office collections. The same premise has been laid down for the sequel with both Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra reprising their roles. Superhero Hrithik Roshan appears in the film as a thief but is not playing the villain of the piece, as previously reported. That role has been given to Aishwarya Rai, who for second time in her career is going bad (first being Khakee). She apparently will also be donning a bikini, a real treat for Aishwarya fans.
