Some want TRP ratings to be banned as they are doubtful about the way TRP is calculated and feel that good shows shouldn't be axed just because they are faltering in TRP. Their wish has come true now..

But according to me, Ideally shows should have seasons where they run 500-600 episodes at the max keeping the story justified to what has been jolted & take a season break & come back after 6 months or 8 months. With this there is freshness to the shows authenticity, Viewer can take a break , feed in another show give room to other actors/ creativity to show their presentation and again bring back the seasoned show. Viewers get a platter of different kinds of show with restricted episodes & it would be enjoyable. This gives television viwership a good expansion to show shows with spectrum to cater differnt dealings of society , individual growth & emotional side of human beings as more & more viwers watch soaps , serials happenings on television they tend to lean on the actuality part of fictioned or Realitic dramatization catered. The channel & ph can be commited to duration of contract where 2 seasons and progressively more can be roomed with breaks added, and the show keeps its freshness and viwers get variety of the phases in the storyline. Eradicating TRP would ideally be the best solution and introducing limited episodes with seasoned duration keeping the freshness & viwership for more to watch with different arenas from an individual team

I really feel bad for ASA.. Even IMAGINE TV its quite sad as the so called boxes run only in 8000 homes while 1 billion viewers watch television shows & maybe 1/2 a billion watch the shows from the GEC...

ASA showed how shows thrive on TRP and how channel & producers twist & turn the shows for teh SAKE of TRP..

Its the most intelligent show made to understand such Logistics. and Apurva as DC showed how producers use these parameters to get their FIXED audiences..ASA is a show which deals only with the functionality of TRP and how the TV industry THRIVES on it..

A good Lesson Learned and I thank the show for giving a phenomenal character DC played by Apu who showed the behind scenes of a reality show but the FACT is all shows run on the same algorithm & give this TRP

Personally TRP is a Big sucker & hampers creativity Ideally I would season shows comprising for limited episodes & break & back again..

And channel should give room to NOVEL shows which ASA proved all the way 👏👏👏

Agree Shanthi...

How can a show be decided based on TRP...

I would rather suggest to have a full fledged script till the end before even the show begins... This may save us from the day to day changes concepts and also the boring lengthnings...

Generally the joke in Indian TV system is... we have paid channels already, but still they depend on advertisemnts of a succeful serial for making more money...

Even if a show is flop the channel won't have any loss becoz, almost all the GRP channels are pay channels only.

If ever it is succesfful they will get more money..

these peole are making fluttery and mockery of us viewers who follow a show for years and bare their non sense ads for 10 minutes in the half an hour...

Pity us...

Hope the things can be changed and there was no TRPs and channel can get a show with limited episodes which was decided before and if it gets good repsonce get a second season for it back... again with a full fledged script. But not the present situation like having a changed script every wednesday evening based on the week TRP

Lets see if the things work out after December 19th or whenever..

Atleast I am happy I understood the whole system and how things are manipulated for the sake of TRP through ASA..

Intelligent show with the way they showed how things get influenced for the audience who are fixed to see shows and the characters and all the parameters which are added to keep them glued...

Also the channel should stop prioritizing their promotion to one show and push other aside.These were the exact norms which was shown in ASA...

Even story telling should be somewhere authentic & have more room to good creativity.. This will keep audience better understanding of shows with good realistic touch and not THRIVE on TRP..

Digitalization has to have accuray as much as the score board can be manully manipulated even when the digitalization takes place it should be range the more audience boxes rather than the 8000 boxes when a nation of 1 billion viewers watch & the score board which comes out is not bogus.

definitely Shanthi its just a bogus...

where 1 billion people from 28 states watch the show... whats matter in giving TRPs based on some bloody 8000 homes.. that too confined to one region.

Rather than it they should give some equal consideration from whole India...
