I come here on India forums sometimes only but I am always amazed that how people find so much time & energy to devote to this forum...I mean its just amazing!!!...I mean don't people have studies or jobs or work or anything! People how do u find the time & the energy!!! 😲

Oh Sona, you are so right. When I first joined I did so out of curiosity, I used to be amazed at the amount of time people had for doing almost PhD type dissertations. Initially it was fun to watch it was another world for me, I hardly commented, then I got drawn in. I keep a particularly busy day and hence in between when I get moments I let my hair down. Say when I am having lunch by myself. But one thing I have noticed is you dare not say anything even remotely negative about BV or Anandi, no matter to what nonsensical level CVs takes it down to, self appointed guardians are there to kill you. Mostly teenagers I think, grammar awful, English terrible, spelling don't even ask. But what repatees, Good God, even the invenotr of the language would have been embarrassed.

For example if I were to say I do not agree that Jagya was a decent man and how can you transform him to a C grade Hindi flick villain, answer is don't watch, switch off your TV, what is your problem we like whatever CVs dishes out, kala chasma pehen lo.

Do they have jobs and do they study you ask, answer is No. I have a job and I travel, hence I appear on the Forum late in the night or at lunch time India time. But these guys are on it full time.

Having said which I have seen very mature and respectable responses from some people and I reach back and say hey I appreciate your thought and I respect you. But c'est la vie, it takes all sorts.

Since you are referring to the forum members in general I felt that I should reply to your post.

You seem to have made a lot of assumptions about forum members without ever interacting with them.

While some of them have a lot of free time lot because they are at home.

But there are all kinds of people on this forum.There are students, working women who do have a busy schedule in the real word just like you have and there are some members who are 60 + on this forum while some of them are young as 16 years.This is a forum meant for sharing our views on BV.A 16 year old girl is bound to have a different view from that of 30 + woman.Should a 16 year old/college going kid be made fun of for viewing things differently?

As for being blind supporters of the show - Have you seen how many of the forum members criticised the show of late?These are regular forum members.

Most of the people have been watching the show since it started 4 years ago.They must have some liking for this show to watch it so regularly.They will be supportive of the show and it's lead Anandi.It is not like they are blind supporters of the show and they do not have the ability to think and analyse as well as you do.

Some people may not be so articulate and well versed with English as you are but that is no reason to make fun of them.

Since you seem to have figured out so well what the forum members are upto it must be very easy to figure out that some posts are made just to draw attention to themselves rather than sharing their view point and the only way to discourage them is by giving a reply in the same tone.Silly post will get so called silly repartees.A rude post will get nasty replies.

If you are interseted in sharing your views please go and see some of the threads were peple with opposing views have had great debates running into pages and pages.

Lastly please do not assume that all the people who spend a lot of time on the forum have nothing better to do.I do spend a lot of time on this forum but like you I also have a very busy schedule.I take short breaks during my work and come to the forum because it is relaxing.

I know a lot of people who are busy working people like you come to this forum when they have a break but they do not have condescending views of people who spend a lot of time on this forum.

I come to the forum to cheat. Yes that's what I said. I like to read the updates before the episodes air in the United States so I will know if it is worth my while or not. Also I get to 'meet' faceless individuals from all walks of life who give me a new perspective and help keep me from developing a narrow view of situations. Some I agree with, some I don't. That's life! The other reason I watch some of these shows or keep up with the forum is just escapism...pure and simple. I deal with red tape all day advocating for my child, I need down time too...this is how I choose to have down time.

Very good post, enjoyed reading it. I re-read my own post and yes it did sound patronising, which I did not mean to do. Of course each one will have a point of view and we must respect each view, but like you said if someone gets cheeky, then a cheeky reply is to be expected and if someone is rude, then. . .

I neither want to be rude nor cheeky, I haved a dry sense of humour which has in the past not been fully understood, but what troubled me a few weeks ago is when I started getting disenchanted with BV and the utter disdain with which the Director was queering up the characters, at that time I gave my POV and you will be surprised how many people climbed on my head and were seriously rude. Funny thing is in today's Forum some of the same people are using words like 'disgusting' etc. I was so amused.

So chalta hai, no hard feelings, like you I come to the Forum to meet faceless (for want of a netter word) friends and see their POV, so some teennage repartee is part of the process. No sweat. I seriously thank you for your wonderful post and would like to hear from you again.
